@sagemintblue One of the best 💙 Will always remember how much you cared about doing the right thing for our customers, and how you approached work with such passion, persistence, and integrity.
That Twitter hasn’t gone down yet is the most resolute testament to the quality of work that twitter infra has done and also a testament to the ethics and quality of people that have dealt with the chaos and distrust that @elonmusk has been worried about.
@garru@rk@nk It turns out that was cause by a bug in Mesos that turned off TCP checksum checking and it was allowing bit flips to happen more often.
A tweet from the future actually means a tweet that had the timestamp from the future because of this bit flip.
@garru@rk@nk That bug where, when someone undid a RT, we’d sometimes delete the original tweet instead. 😬 Also the poison pill with snowflake IDs from the future…
@bd@zkiehl After all these years, I still remember how reassuring it was when summoned to the incident room to see either of the two of you there. Thank you for always being kind and cool-headed in the most stressful moments!
@zkiehl almost all of my good memories from my time at twitter feature you.
there'll be no place like twitter, but hopefully you'll end up working with equally kind and talented people at whatever is next for you.
@m7z Marina, you are one of the greats. Hard to overstate how much impact you’ve had: on the technology, on the product, our company & team culture. Thank you for always speaking up, especially when others couldn’t or wouldn’t. What an honor to have worked with you. 🫡💙
@cba 🫡💙 Happy & grateful that we got to have you on the team not once, but twice. Proud of how much you’ve grown, from baby SWE 2 to Staff, and excited to see what you do next!
@THISWILLWORK Couldn’t have said it better. Thank you for so many great years. It was a privilege to have you on the team. 🫡 Also, I’m not crying, you’re crying! 😭 💙
I am going to miss this place. We built something special here, and I do not expect to see its like ever again. I have worked here at Twitter for over 11 years. Back in July, I was the 27th most tenured employee at the company. Now I'm the 15th. I am not going to click "yes"
And just like that, after 12 years, I have left Twitter. I have nothing but love for all my fellow tweeps, past and present. A thousand faces and a thousand scenes are flashing through my mind right now - I love you Twitter and I’ll forever bleed blue 🫡💙
@msol Still remember when we made your offer (cc @onesnowclimber). 0 regrets as well. Proud to see how much you’ve grown and everything you’ve accomplished since. 🫡
@thinkingfish 👑 What a privilege to have worked with you, Yao. Will always look up to you, and look back on our many incidents together with fondness. 💙
