Why not put the onus on the porn industry to use methods of ID to access porn rather than taking a decision away from parents? I don’t agree with any of it but Starmers reasoning has nothing to with the kids, it’s to do with parents having to get a digital ID to authorise. Don’t fall for his BS.

My 17 year old daughter has told me that her social media will be getting switched off at 8:30pm. I’ve no idea how she knows the time or what will actually happen, but, she’s allowed to drive. But she can’t view social media after 8:30pm? I told her I wasn’t going to do any digital ID verification BS, sorry, but no. She said, I wouldn’t have let you anyway Mum. No chance. I have to be honest... a sign like this would probably make me turn around and leave. 😬 I walked up to what looked like a classic little diner. Warm lights, cozy booths, checkerboard floors, the kind of place that feels like it's been serving the neighborhood forever. Then I noticed the sign on the front window. It basically said that if you're not planning to leave at least a 25% tip, you shouldn't order food. And just like that, the whole vibe changed. Don't get me wrong—I tip. I have no problem rewarding good service, and I know restaurant staff work hard. But seeing a minimum tip requirement posted on the door before I've even sat down feels a little different. A tip is supposed to be something you choose to leave based on the experience. When it's presented as an expectation before the meal even starts, it begins to feel less like a tip and more like an admission fee. What surprised me most was the tone. The diner looked welcoming. The sign didn't. Maybe they're just being honest about wanting customers to support the staff. Or maybe a message like that ends up pushing away the very people they're trying to attract. So I'm curious... Would a sign requiring a minimum 25% tip make you think twice about eating there, or would you appreciate them being upfront about it?
