🎬 Behind the Scenes of our Complacent docuseries shoot at the historic Calgary Courthouse. Calgary Deputy Police Chief, JPMF Co-Founder & Board Chair Cliff O’Brien, is featured here in an interview. He was not only a recruit classmate but also a close friend of Cst. Petropoulos.

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨 It's week 3 of #FraudPreventionMonth, focusing on online scams. This week, we want to bring attention to forged Police Information Check (PIC) letters that have recently appeared in our community. ℹ️ These falsified documents are typically created or shared through online channels, making them part of a growing trend of digital fraud. While the majority of PIC letters are legitimate, it’s helpful for organizations & individuals to be cognizant of altered Police Information Check (PIC) letters. Submitting or presenting a forged PIC letter can affect important public safety processes, such as: ➡️ Accurately confirming a person’s criminal record. ➡️ Ensuring organizations complete proper screening for positions of trust. ➡️ Protecting vulnerable individuals who rely on verified checks. ➡️ Preserving stakeholder trust in the Police Information Check product. 🚫 Creating or presenting a forged PIC letter is illegal & may lead to criminal charges. 📣 If businesses, volunteer groups or community organizations receive a PIC letter & have any concerns about its authenticity, please contact the Police Information Check Unit at cps-picunit@calgarypolice.ca for verification.

REMINDER: Employee safety isn’t optional—it’s a priority. 💰Not profits. 🏗️Not efficiency. Nothing comes before it. Ignoring worker safety doesn’t just risk lives—it can carry serious legal consequences. #workplaceaccountability

Just like seat belts and car seats, bicycle helmets are tested and proven to prevent serious injury in the event of a fall or crash. Helmets work if they fit properly and are worn correctly! Learn more: tntrafficsafety.org/bike-ped

🔎 NEED TO IDENTIFY 🔍 We are asking for the public's assistance in locating a man believed to be responsible for 2 attempted carjackings last week. 📍 On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at approx. 1:30 p.m., a woman was in the driver's seat of her vehicle, parked in the 200 block of Ninth Ave. S.E., when a man opened the door & threatened to kill her. The woman fled the vehicle with her keys. The man entered the vehicle & after unsuccessfully attempting to drive it, got out & began approaching other vehicles in oncoming traffic. 📍 At approx. 2:15 p.m., the same man approached another parked vehicle in the 700 block of Sixth Ave. S.W., opened the driver's door & forcibly removed the female driver before entering. The man was once again unable to operate the vehicle since the driver still held the keys. He stole the driver's purse, then fled. 📣 Anyone with information about this man or these incidents is asked to contact police. Information? ☎️ CPS: 403-266-1234 🛑 @stopcrimeyyc ⚖ Case #: CA26103770 / 26103816 | 5205 🌐 newsroom.calgary.ca/police-seek-pu…

One mistake. One explosion. One preventable incident. The US Department of Labor cited a Wisconsin beauty and personal care products manufacturer after a 55-gallon fiber drum containing nitrocellulose exploded and started a secondary fire involving flammable liquids. An investigation found the company failed to implement an effective safety program for new hires, including required training on chemical hazards and respiratory protection, as well as respirator fit testing and medical evaluations. As a result, OSHA issued multiple violations, including repeat and serious citations related to respiratory protection, hazard communication, fire safety, equipment training, and electrical hazards. Additional violations were noted for recordkeeping and unsafe practices. The company now faces $275,694 in proposed penalties. #WorkplaceSafety #OSHA #SafetyFirst #HazardAwareness #IndustrialSafety

After dark, drivers rely on contrast. Reflective clothing catches & bounces light from headlights, making pedestrians visible from much farther away. That extra distance gives drivers crucial seconds to slow down and avoid a tragedy. Be seen. #RoadSafety #PedestrianSafety
