@jpthorntonlive1 @villageace At the end of the day, if there’s not enough metro horses to race on a Friday night they need to get country graded horses racing there. Having 10 races on a Friday night should be the week’s biggest priority. If that is not happening RWWA are failing to maximise wagering.

Cant see how Divided Stakes races resolve field size or numbers for GP metro. Trainers have less flexibility in placing their horses & Im sure they will pull their horses if it looks like lining up in FFA out of class. Just programme more country stakes and use if necessary.

@montylmo @villageace True but L7 plus that are going half decent could compete for the higher stakes if they are trying to use the system or trying to find some form I guess they aim at the L5LT$8/12/20 races etc

@jpthorntonlive1 @villageace Could be a number of reasons. Might have other metro classed horses racing that meeting. Might not want to go to a midweek meeting. Might not want to travel afar. Those races can sometimes be just as weak as country tracks.

@jpthorntonlive1 @villageace Should see a natural increase in noms over the coming weeks when larger stables start to bring some horses back to the race track. This could be evidence of that 🤷🏼‍♂️

@montylmo @villageace At a glance at the noms 151 unique nominations up from the 76 last week 128 that have first pref to GP 3yo open and 4yo restricted likely to not hold up unless they get a few late noms changes alot between now and 8.30am tomorrow forecast temp 38 for Friday

@villageace It’s an interesting point. As an outsider looking in, it does seem like they operate ‘in silos’. The self-interest groups and perspectives which seem to drive decision making is definitely evident.

@Jack76983895 @Jasonbo38520423 Need to enforce minimum field sizes and stop those avoiding the FFA by using a Race that doesn’t hold up to override the 3 main conditions of the L5$ LT 25k to gain a start at in that race .They would be competitive in in FFA and larger fields make for more interesting racing
