This blogpost has been sitting on the back of my head since I joined @tinybird
Once I understood @ClickHouseDB potential I haven't managed to prevent myself from thinking on solving problems I had in previous companies

Yesterday, for the first time, I went to the Mobile World Congress.
The whole thing was bizarre. Everyone looked bored and slightly disengaged.
There were three kinds of booths: testosteronic ones with Formula 1 cars, futuristic ones with dancing robots, and everything else. After walking around for hours, I still couldn’t tell what 99% were actually selling. Something something future. Agentic. AI.
The average conversation went like this:
“How’s it going? Is it worth it?”
“Well… it’s kind of a waste of time and money, but YOU HAVE TO BE HERE.”
A collective delusion of suits, tech, and surprisingly few mobile phones. 🎪

Folks, if you need a tech lead, Raul is looking for his next move. He's brilliant at what he does, genuinely funny, and also Basque. What more could you ask for?

After almost 7 years, I am no longer with Tinybird. I spent that time building the company from the initial versions of the product to a platform processing trillions of rows and petabytes of data on ClickHouse. Scaling the tech was a great challenge, but building and working with the engineering team behind it was the best part.

I’m exploring new opportunities.
My interest is in data infrastructure, high-concurrency, and technical leadership. I like building things that shouldn't work at scale, but do.
If you're building a technical org or solving hard data problems, my DMs are open. No rush, just looking for the right fit.

After 4 years, 2 months, and 21 days at @tinybird, I’m ready to say goodbye.
I’ve enjoyed reading other "inside the company" stories, so here’s mine.

@jrdi Reading the last bit of your post felt like going back to when I left Felt. It might be weird for now but you’ll find another place where you feel like at home. Trust me, been there, done that, and couldn’t be happier.
