Sometimes our spouses make poor choices. It seems that your wife should apologize for her comment about favoritism first of all. It's obviously a big sacrifice to help so much with their grandson and I would have been delighted if either of my parents took that much interest in helping to raise my children. It was probably a knee jerk reaction but your wife needs to understand that she was wrong and apologize.

The argument escalated until my father stepped in. The drive home was silent and icy. Now my wife wants to pull our son from my parents’ care immediately. She claims my mother is emotionally unstable and unsafe. She says her own mom can help sometimes and we should somehow manage daycare until school starts. I told her that she started the conflict, that our son is happy, bonded, and about to enter a huge life transition………..

AM I WRONG FOR CHOOSING MY MOTHER OVER MY WIFE? My wife and I have a son who is about to turn five. For years, my parents, mostly my mother, have provided full time childcare at no cost. She follows every rule we set, no screens, no sweets, routines exactly as asked, and our son adores her. We genuinely could not afford daycare, and even if we could, it would not compare. Recently, we learned my parents have been quietly paying my older brother’s rent. He has a long history of poor choices, and my wife made a sharp comment about favoritism and how the problem child always gets rewarded. My mother snapped back hard, saying she spends forty hours a week caring for our child and can do whatever she wants with her money, even waste it entirely. The language was intense and shocked everyone. My wife demanded an apology. My mother apologized for the wording but doubled down on the message, saying her finances are not up for debate…….. 👇

@RCEY28 No reason a woman can't do that kind of work. She's plenty physical enough.

This blonde woman in a tank top bends over and works a long screed board across fresh concrete while the crew around her levels and finishes the pour. She pushes hard alongside the guys as the cement truck sits in the background and the sun beats down on the job site. This intense concrete finishing day shows the full team effort needed to get a perfect flat surface. You wonder if women jumping in on heavy concrete work like this proves anything is possible or if the physical toll is just too much for most. Would you grab a tool and help finish a concrete pour or stay on the sidelines?

Yeah war sucks lady. Russia invaded, Russia murders, rapes and tortures. But it's NATO? Only a Russian loving troll blames this war on NATO. NATO is a defensive pact. Ukrainians I know to a person was fed up with being ruled by Moscow. Everyone understood who pulled the strings and Ukrainians did not want to live in the mud and pig shit begging for scraps from the Moscow elite, always a second class citizen in their own country. Those people were not tricked by NATO, they could see with their own eyes which direction represented prosperity for their children. That direction was determined by Moscow. Ukraine moved away from them because they are the rot, filth, corruption that would forever keep them chained. But sure, you a real non Russian loving person thinks it was all a waste and it would be better if you were all still Serfs of the Czar. That is hard to believe and is why everyone says you're a Russian troll.

The Russian-Ukrainian war is bloody and senseless – by this point, massive killing and destruction are wrought over nothing. If it’s about Ukraine not entering NATO – than this question has been taken off the table by now. If it’s about protecting democracy, than our democracy is in such a fragile situation that barely differs from any other autocratic regime: very limited freedom of speech, weakened institutions, violations of basic constitutional rights, political persecution, and people’s life matter as little as in any autocracy. If the war is to remove Zelenskyy from power than he has been it’s main beneficiary: on the verge of losing power back in 2021, the war allowed him to thrive, earning money on all aspects of this war, gaining almost unlimited power inside the country, all the while basking in international fame. If it’s about regaining the territories of Ukraine back from Russian conquest, than Ukraine is just losing more territories, rather than recapturing them. This war has no reason or justification to continue except of benefiting some small groups. Ukraine is on the verge of extinction because of it. #StopWar

Storm of thanks from Ukrainians. This is what matters 🙏Peace and people can’t have “buts.” If Zelenskyy’s team has nothing to say, except of accusing me of being “pro-Russian”, then it means they have nothing to say at all.

I did the same growing up. Now I have a daughter so I've been telling myself that it's different and I'm not interested in her sleeping at someone else's house. Maybe just a couple of close friends with kids that I would even consider. I feel like its different these days. People are less trusting and more defensive of their kids.

I was a kid in the 90s, and by the time I was 12 I had stayed at my friends houses hundreds of nights for sleepovers. My friends stayed with me hundreds of nights for sleepovers. Video games. Making home movies. Snacks. Bewshittin'. My sons are 8 and 12 and neither of them have ever been to a sleepover. Neither of them have ever tried to get one cooking at my house. And don't get me wrong - I do NOT want other kids at my house. But I wouldn't deny my kids the opportunity to make those memories. Are sleepovers just not a thing anymore? What is going on?

@Btanked10x @yonann Oh so what do your children do at your work? How many hours do they work? How much are you paying them for an hour of work? Tread lightly pal. You're probably doing it wrong.

@yonann Yes, I do this for my children. I would like to point out that it’s a good idea to make sure you’re actually using your children for your company. It would really suck to be audited and have no proof at all.

Tax expert says parents can write off $15,750 by putting their own kids on payroll "Put them on payroll, you can pay your child up to $15,750 without your child needing to file a tax return" "That’s a $15,750 deduction" "Then from the $15,750, you can take $6,000 and stuff it into the Roth IRA, and that money is growing tax free"

How much do you pay someone to empty trashcans per hour? How many trash cans do you have? I suppose, theoretically it's possible to pay your 10 year old 15k to shred paper and empty the trash but if it sounds like bullshit to me then it will sound like bullshit to an investigator. Maybe your business is cleaning football stadiums? I mean yeah, you can do it. What gets me is all the people who see this shit and try to do it and will not listen to reason. If it sounds like bullshit then you better be real careful and make sure it's legitimate or you are breaking the law. Like the Fed chair investigated for simple mortgage fraud. this is tax fraud and there are consequences.

This is criminally deceiving. You can't just pay your kid for nothing. You have to give them a real freakin job and pay them in line with what you would pay someone else to do the same thing. You could seriously get yourself into trouble if you take this garbage as truth and start paying your 8 year old 15k for nothing. Use your common sense people. This is bullshit.

@ToriatheistTori @YMomof2 It’s simple really. The Americans that are against it don’t want the little black and brown boy to get open heart surgery. Their hate defines them. MAGA isn’t a mindset, it’s hating out loud.

Socialists never get it. It's actually about trusting in the markets to ensure the best quality of care possible. Socialized medicine always looks great when you compare it to a third world country and not so great when you compare it to what the market can create. As if there are American children who need open heart surgery who aren't getting it better and faster than in Canada. I call bs.

People like you agh.... Don't you see how poorly this reflects on YOU? People who make a huge deal out of the tiniest things and waste their time and everyone else's are the worst. If you want to take points off for the guy coming early that's fine but you went out early and created a situation that didn't have to be. If you were my employee I would be seriously thinking if you might be the problem. Like it bothered you so much that some guy was sitting in the lobby. Why? Nobody is making you do anything. If you want to start his appointment half an hour late and he sits out there for an hour who cares. It shouldn't affect your work.

Showing up 15 minutes early for an interview is basically trespassing. Our receptionist notified me that a UX designer was waiting in the lobby at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. slot. I walked out and asked why he was trying to steal company time before he was even on the official payroll. He said he just wanted to account for traffic and make a solid first impression. I told him that aggressive punctuality indicates a fundamental inability to accurately estimate project timelines. He asked if he should go wait in his car until the exact minute. I said no, the damage to his cultural fit score was already permanently done. I made him sit facing the lobby wall until exactly 10:00 a.m. so he could think about his schedule. Then I canceled the interview entirely because his anxious energy was too disruptive.

Sheesh 15 minutes early shows respect for the interview. I can only hope that this person shows the same level of intolerance for an applicant who arrives even 1 second late as she shows for the poor guy who showed up a mere 15 minutes for an interview. He can wait in the lobby jesus. I can't see how this could be disruptive.

I feel bad for red shirt husband. He's just sitting there, then his wife starts acting like a maniac and you know there is a moment when he realizes he has no choice but defend his wife and get the crap beat out of him. Don't hit people. Just don't. We aren't in a war. We are civilized you just don't put your hands on other people and if you do you'll get what you deserve.... and your husband.

The point is these are movies. You need a protagonist and an antagonist. The most interesting blur the lines between the two at points but you can't have a cool villain without remembering they gonna lose. Same in real world. Not so easy to decide who's good or bad in all situations. Even when you can acknowledge that a particular party or politician is evil, you can't acknowledge that the other side is not.

I grew out of it but I can still remember some good times watching Ric Flair and some of the greats with friends. I mean, as long as you are appreciating the comic aspect it's not that dumb. I mean, Ric Flair on his knees begging for mercy then punching somebody in the balls and "Whoooooo!" while dancing around the ring. We were rolling.

"I can't understand how grown men are still into wrestling," Rob Parker said on his Fox Sports show. "We all went to the zoo. We all went to the circus as kids, right? And at some point, Kelvin, you grow out of it. I just cannot get over how these older guys who are sports fans live and die for that stuff, but they have this soft spot for wrestling, and they're walking around with the belts, and they're going to a watch party at a sports bar. I need somebody to explain it to me, because I don't understand it."
