Kristi Noem will go down as the worst DHS Secretary in American history. After years of insider trading, the discharge petition we brought forward and the members both Democrat and Republican who chose to put their names on it to stop the individual trading of stocks, has FINALLY WORKED! A bill is expected to be passed out of committee as early as this week that will prohibit members of Congress from buying individual stocks. This is a win, but it should be noted that this would not have happened if individual members, both Democrats and Republicans, had not stepped forward to call this out on both sides. I look forward to reviewing the full text, but based on the toplines discussed over the past few weeks, this is a step in the right direction, and I look forward to supporting it on the floor.
