The supervisor suggested that the problem was that the card was issued in 2005.

but it seems an issue in the system and not with the card as the card scans and works fine at the tills. Not confident in the solution 😒 or that customer service is properly equipped to deal with scan and shop issues.

@TescoIrl @Tesco I have a problem using my Clubcard to get a scan and shop handset. It gives a message about it being "abandoned" at some date in early November (8th perhaps). Contacted customer support but the only solution offered was to send a new card,
