A super speciality hospital block at #RamManoharLohiaHospital built at a cost of over ₹400 crore in the capital has remained non-operational for over a year — not due to lack of infrastructure, staff or equipment, but because of delays in electricity connection. The facility, meant for cancer and other super speciality patients, has been ready since early 2025 and could have started OPD services much earlier. Husband’s counsel: separation for 16 years, I am paying 15k maintenance. Kindly grant me divorce.
Wife’s counsel: I have told him I am ready to live with him.
Court: keep your wife with you.
Husband’s counsel: 16 years of separation, there are temperamental issues.
Court: how much permanent alimony can you pay? 15k is hardly anything these days.
Counsel: I don’t have money. I have 65k salary, no pension. I am 54 years old.
Court: you continue to pay 15k.
Counsel: please grant me divorce.

Daud Ali asks :
“I served this nation for 21 years, one month and one day. Yet today, my nationality – and my family’s – is being questioned."
My mother’s name is in the voter list of 2002. I was called for a hearing in Baharampur. I submitted all the documents. But then because my name was removed, both of my daughter’s and a son’s names were struck off as well. I don’t know what else I can do or whom shall I approach.
After dedicating a long part of my life to serving the Indian army, this is the situation I find myself in today. And If this is happening to someone like me, I can only imagine what ordinary civilians might be going through."

Which institution should he approach?
His voting rights have been eroded, who is accountable?

A 13-year-old girl was gang-raped in Lucknow as she sought shelter from heavy rain on a construction site. The girl was on her way to work at a care home when the incident occurred.
The woman for whom the girl worked initiated a search after she failed to arrive at work on time. Locals, growing suspicious, searched the construction site and found the girl on the third floor. Following the discovery, residents caught the accused workers hiding near the rooftop water tank. Police arrived at the scene and took the girl to a hospital for treatment. Five workers were detained at the site.
