No it won’t. It actually locks in permanent enforcement measures (border security, mandatory E-verify, and ends catch and release for asylum seekers). None of these are currently codified in law, and until they are, they can keep being changed by the Executive. And therefore border and enforcement policy will keep changing whenever the White House changes. Participants in Dignity Program (not Amnesty) cannot become citizens and therefore cannot vote. The bill actually increases penalties for any illegal or non-citizen caught voting or attempting to vote, as well as for attempted border re-crossers, child sex traffickers, etc.

🚨BREAKING: NYPD officer who threw a cooler at a fleeing drug dealer has been sentenced to 3–9 years in prison. In 2023, Sgt. Erik Duran was part of a drug sting in the Bronx when a suspect sped away on a scooter toward two officers making another arrest. Trying to protect them, Duran threw a cooler, knocking the suspect off the scooter and causing fatal head injuries. Despite an exemplary record, he was convicted of manslaughter. At sentencing, Judge Guy Mitchell rejected the defense that Duran was safeguarding his team. The judge stated that Duran should have simply let the suspect drive by, adding that "he could've been captured another day." This verdict and sentence represent a profound miscarriage of justice. Activist judges are sending officers who risk their lives to serve and protect to prison, while career criminals continue to terrorize NYC streets with little consequence. The conviction of Sgt. Duran sends a dangerous and unprecedented message: police officers can no longer risk prison for split-second decisions to protect their colleagues or the public. Instead, every suspect, no matter how dangerous or evasive, must be handled with kid gloves. This indefensible outcome undermines law enforcement morale and public safety. It is a shameful day for justice in New York.

Look at what our tax dollars purchased!

WRONG.. and it’s ironic because this completely ignores what the bill actually does. It does NOT block deportations. Recent arrivals (who came under Biden) are deportable. Criminals are deportable. No exceptions so ICE can focus on their important mission. This section ensures people eligible for the Dignity Program (must have evidence of being here BEFORE 2021) are not deported while they are applying for Dignity Program. If they fail to meet processing requirements, they will be deported. However, the 24 month timeline is likely too long. It can be shortened significantly to sync up with the time needed to stand up the Dignity program. That’s how legislating works… it gets refined. And yes, I welcome the feedback. As my #1 fan @basedMikeLee can tell you, we are on the 3rd(?) version of the SAVE America Act because small changes to text actually have big implications. Most bills are amended along the way.

Hey Congressman, which “last fall” are you talking about? Because it sounds like you’re rewriting what voters really told us. Let’s deal in FACTS… LAST FALL, from Virginia to New Jersey, voters across the board sent a message, and you clearly missed it. Hispanic voters shifted more than 35% to the LEFT. That’s not spin, that’s reality and it hasn’t reversed. PRESIDENT TRUMP didn’t win by shrinking the tent. He EXPANDED it. That’s how you build a coalition. I’m sure you LOVED those headlines in November 2024 about historic Hispanic support, now you want to pretend it didn’t happen? Here’s another FACT: the majority of Americans support real immigration reform, and the Dignity Act is exactly that. Brandon, REAL people want solutions, not slogans and certainly not recycled talking points. Time to catch up with the real world!
