@AI_EmeraldApple I just started in the content creator space. Why is the vtuber community like this? Seems odd to me. Is there some sort of etiquette that I'm missing? Why can't people just mind their own business, treat others with respect and stop obsessing over drama?

Another Vtuber drama escalates until an innocent man loses his job over false allegations. It all started with an impersonator (impersonating KodiakVT) who used a spoofed Hotmail account and sent an extremely vile, threatening email to Vexmlk. The email contained information about her needing to be a "r*** victim, and k*** yourself". The same impersonator has also been harassing Kodiak for months, impersonating multiple people to cause drama. Vexmlk thought it was genuinely from Kodiak and posted screenshots of it publicly on social media, shaming Kodiak directly without verifying the authenticity of the email. She included enough info that his IRL identity/job became targetable. Someone from Vex's community used that post as ammo and sent an anonymous tip to Kodiak's IRL job with his real name + false SA accusations... causing Kodiak to get fired on the spot. Vex deleted the original post after realizing it was a fake, and she has turned her account into protected mode. In response, Kodiak has now contacted lawyers for a possible remedy for his situation. Now... here is the crazy part. Other people have hinted that it might actually be Vex herself who created the spoofed email for pity points and for a power trip. The reason for this is that the email had multiple obvious red flags that any person with normal sensibilities would see as fake. This is also a larger drama from earlier blowups, where Vexmlk is strongly anti-ICE and pro immigration... classical leftist. She also celebrated when right-leaning VTubers Rev and Strawb were dropped from advancedgg for their pro-ICE stance. On the other hand, KodiakVT is a more "based" right-leaning VTuber who supports ICE's activities in deporting illegals.
