I think what we all admired most about Paul Brereton was his relentless pursuit of the Robodebt crooks, a dogged campaign to bring them to the justice they so richly deserved. Not. abc.net.au/news/2026-05-2…

@AngusTaylorMP Angus Taylor: champion of small business😂 Angus Taylor: When Energy Minister presided over a 34% spike in small business power bills while promising the opposite. He's now fighting a CGT reform that left every small business concession intact. The record doesn't lie. #auspol

Yes, stand firm ⁦@AlboMP⁩ Without these changes the privileged few will lock young working people out of owning their own homes forever - which is exactly what the Liberals and Nationals want. smh.com.au/politics/feder…

@strangerous10 The media should be answerable for all the misinformation they continue to spew out, tine after time without sanction. O’Neil and other MPs have to continue in that vein of making these “reporters” accountable.

Clare O’Neil repeatedly schools Nat Barr on neg gearing after Barr insists some viewers’ rents have risen “For any1 who’s in a rental…provided by an investor, the arrangements are grandfathered”✅ A beaten Barr & McKenzie then tag-team to try muddy the waters. Pathetic. #auspol

@PaulineHansonOz It has to do with running a country and everyone paying their way if you make profit you pay tax Why should only working people pay tax We are an ageing Population so why should those working for wages carry all burden

@SkyNewsAust Say anything for a vote! Never have been there for workers shouldering the tax burden. Schemes Albanese govt already had in lace for young to have only small deposit adds to the push for new builds only for neg gearing. Grandkids instead of rent can pay into mortgage.

It's pretty simple. Young Australians just need to know this. @JEChalmers is taxing your future inheritance by taking it from your grandparents and parents right now. That's right. Do you want it or do you want the government to grab it?

@GL95523875 @jeff_kennett Cause we’ve paid into it - in my case over 50years. Hardly needed it but now is when I won’t be a burden on the public health system in twilight years.

@jeff_kennett Why do they have private health insurance? Don't we have free universal healthcare you get with a green card? 😂😂😂😂

The removal of the rebate for private health insurance for people over 65, is grossly unfair. The rebate should have been means tested. Many seniors are low income or on pensions. Their health insurance is often their biggest expense which they struggle to keep. Unfair.

@jeff_kennett Seems to me that Fed Govt can’t fund public health on the one hand then give money to private health funds as part of individuals’ private health cover. That’s what has been happening. Need to examine the increase in house insurances!

Jim Chalmers burns Tim Wilson complaining about changing the Capital Gains Tax rules after previously saying CGT was unfair. Chalmers laughs as Dan Tehan tries to interject, because Tim Wilson's own words showed his hypocrisy. #qt

Mr Albanese has spent decades using negative gearing to build his wealth. Good on him. Now he’s ripping away these opportunities for younger generations.

A Tim Wilson special. Urgently eyeing his notes to make sure his line lands, the Shadow Treasurer begins moralising about "no honesty" in Labor's budget. Sarah Ferguson, intrigued: "When you talk of honesty, do you need to read that off your notes?" Incredible. #abc730 #auspol
