@LeZuse @VojtaRocek Haha.

I'm looking for Senior data engineers to help me take the Data team at @Productboard to the next level.
Long story 🍿
Exactly five years ago, I joined PB as the 25th employee, where I started building the foundation of data infrastructure, analytics, and business intelligence. In three years, we grew to 300+ employees, raised $72M during Series C funding, and built a strong data platform foundation. Then, I had gigs at @TheShipMonk and @DeepnoteHQ, but more on that over a beer some other time 🙂.
Fast forward to September 2023 when I returned to Productboard to take the Data team to the next level. I realize I can't do it alone, so I need senior "data generalists" to join me who can cover the whole process from A to Z. That means: communicating with business stakeholders and data analysts, understanding "what's the question behind the question," designing and building technical solutions (ETL pipelines, @keboola, @getdbt), creating Looker explores (@Amplitude_HQ report), presenting it to business stakeholders/analysts, and presenting it on all hands/loom recording.
Our data stack is five years ahead of companies that are just getting started with data. We have established ingestion layers, ETL processes, data models (data vault FTW), Looker explores, and Amplitude metrics. Everyone at PB has access to the data and the appetite to use it. We have our own framework for health checks, access to DataOps, and various automations that allow us to avoid dealing with redundancies and focus on addressing interesting business problems (rather than writing custom SQL reports).
I'd be happy to share more details. If you're interested, drop me a line at matus@productboard.com

This talk by @aleksandrasays on TS Performance is absolute 🔥
youtube.com/watch?v=lJ63-j…
Some takeaways:
Break your big type helpers into smaller ones
TypeScript caches the result of generic types by their names. That means the smaller and more focused your type helpers are, the easier it is for TS to cache them.
Got a 60-line type-helper called ComputeThing? Break it up into smaller pieces.
Use tsc --generateTrace to generate performance traces for Chrome Dev Tools
tsc --generateTrace outDir
This outputs a set of JSON files you can pull into to the Chrome Dev Tools to see exactly which files are problematic.

@pustelto @JanKoritak Unfortunately we haven’t deployed it in team, so I can’t really say. The UI felt bit clumsy back then, so I use Github UI mostly. But otherwise great tool.

I have check it some time ago, but unfortunately it is for Github only.

I've been looking for a way to enable developers to somehow break down a PR into smaller chunks for easier, "responsibility-oriented" reviews.
There is actually a pretty cool approach called PR-stacking by graphite.dev. 👀
