I strongly oppose the sanctuary city bills signed into law today in Philadelphia. This is bad news for Philadelphia. Instead of cooperating with federal law enforcement to keep our communities safe, these policies obstruct immigration enforcement, undermine the rule of law, and discourage economic development. We must enforce our immigration laws, keep the border secure, and restore order to our immigration system. This is how we keep Pennsylvanians safe.

Its shameful they shut down the 24hr movie theater that doubled as a cold blue shelter, just for it to sit vacant. The 2 closed rite aid & 2 closed CVS lots in QV/BV are also examples of same.

As a lifelong suburbanite: Philly has amazing food hilarious people and a great personality. All of those great things are wrapped up in a city that is covered in actual poop, needles, trash, bones, shady bums, etc. The city is unrecognizable to me from even just 10 yrs ago

Part of the problem is that all these RE speculators bought up a bunch of commercial property intending to develop it, the increased rents drove out tenants, then the pandemic hit and they mostly bailed on their projects. So many vacancies bc of this.

@ofviceandsin It’s just not true. Even chestnut hill is worse. Old city is worse. South street is worse. Washington Square, Rittenhouse are both worse. South Philly is worse. They are all visually dirtier and undeniably less safe than they were 10 years ago. It’s like night and day.

National party politics have no business in state referendums on voter rights. Yes, Trump got TX to redistrict for GOP. TX constitution allows for anytime redistricting. VA constitution prohibits it. It’s obvious where this is leading.
