Every US president before Trump arrived in Beijing backed by a billion people and half of global GDP. China knew if it pushed back, it lost all of them. Simultaneously. Trump arrived this week with 79 million supporters and no one else. Europe has its own deals with China now. So does Canada. Europe and The Middle East wants the bases gone. The rare earths got used as leverage twice and Trump folded twice. Iran is waiting out the midterms. China has never stood this strong against the United States.
