Yesterday, 11 months after I started, I got the final commit for fund 1 I raised 525k in 2 days. I thought I was made. 6 mo later, on Oct 1, I’d only signed 1.7m Fund returns helped, but the only change I made was to unapologetically be me. Being authentic pays, it’s just hard.

+118M social views and +198K followers later, I'm leaving @RiotGames. The last 17 months have been insane: stepped into a dream role being the Social Media Lead for our @valesportsna product, rebuilt how we told stories around VCT, and got to leave something real behind. The next chapter is the biggest one yet. I've accepted a new role with more scope and impact than I ever imagined having this early in my career - and I genuinely think it's the future of social marketing. 🤝

I am so bullish on the real world. Group events. Cookouts. Sports. Parties. Animals. Music festivals. Phoneless dinners. Co-living centers. Healing centers. Retreat centers. Beautiful views. Group adventures. These things light me up. Tech, ai, and materialism continue to disguest me more every day. The pendulum has swung too far. A small group of soulless nerds will continue to obsess over ai, automation, effiency, and the intellect. But those of us connected to our hearts and spirits are becoming disgusted by it. We want real, and we want human. Expect a huge countersurge of irl businesses and events in the next few years.
