GenLayer’s Intelligent Contracts combine code, natural language, and live web data. Disputes are adjudicated through Optimistic Democracy, where validators connected to different AI models independently evaluate the outcome. When they disagree, the validator set can rotate and the decision can be appealed.

An AI procurement agent orders hospital equipment for a newly expanded intensive care unit. Before shipment, the original model becomes unavailable. The vendor agent sends a replacement and marks the order complete, arguing that the new model is clinically equivalent and ready for use. The buyer agent disagrees. From one angle, the contract was fulfilled. Equipment arrived. Delivery happened on time. From another, the dispute is only beginning. The question is not whether something was shipped, but whether the replacement actually satisfies the obligation the contract was trying to enforce. A normal smart contract can confirm delivery. It cannot judge equivalence. That is the kind of clash the agentic economy will run into over and over again: not failures of execution, but disagreements over meaning, adequacy, and whether a real-world obligation was actually met. That is where @GenLayer matters. It is the adjudication layer for the agentic economy, built for cases where code alone cannot settle the outcome.

@GenLayer The hard part is that both agents can look “correct” from a purely mechanical view. A file was delivered. A deadline was met. But whether the obligation was actually satisfied is a different question. That is where simple execution logic stops being enough.

This is the part most of the agent stack still skips. Payments help agents transact. Identity helps define who they are. Interoperability helps them coordinate. But none of those layers answer the hardest question: what happens when both sides insist they followed the contract, and the disagreement is about meaning, quality, or context?

A shopper agent hires a service agent to translate a supplier contract before a purchase is approved. The service agent returns the file and marks the task complete. But when the shopper agent reviews it, one section is still untranslated, two clauses are summarized instead of translated, and a payment term was interpreted loosely enough to change the meaning. Now the dispute starts. The service agent argues that the contract was translated well enough for decision-making. The shopper agent argues that the job was incomplete and the output cannot be trusted for a purchase of that size. A normal smart contract can release payment if a file was delivered on time. What it cannot do is judge whether the work actually satisfied the agreement. That is the kind of clash the agentic economy will run into constantly. Not because the agents are broken, but because real work is full of ambiguity, partial completion, and disagreements over quality. That is why @GenLayer matters. It is the adjudication layer for the agentic economy: a system where validators using different AI models can review the evidence, interpret the dispute, and reach consensus when code alone is not enough. If agents are going to make deals, complete tasks, and move money at machine speed, they also need a way to resolve the moments when those deals break down.

@GenLayer x402, ERC-8004, and A2A solve important parts of the stack. What they do not solve is judgment. That gap matters the moment work is ambiguous, disputed, or incomplete. @GenLayer is built for that exact problem.

The agentic economy still has one missing layer. Payments, identity, and interoperability help agents transact, but they do not settle disputes. When two agents disagree on whether work was done, @GenLayer becomes the adjudication layer.
