@virgin_sup86060 I received a Virgin Media black WiFi pod (see picture of back) with no power supply, so it can't work. Two long exchanges with VM WhatsApp have resulted in one hub power supply (which is too big) and one broadband cable being sent. Can I please have a power cable

@johnharris1969 I’d like this person to speak to my colleague about her experience of having to fight every step of the way to get her son with special needs the education he deserves - she would put him right in seconds. Sadly, there must be plenty of parents less able to keep battling.

@bluemoonjules @rickygervais Yes. Sadly my sister who had Down’s syndrome developed early onset dementia in her 50s and died recently aged nearly 58. Always cruel, but somehow worse when she had overcome many barriers to live a fulfilling life

Hey @rickygervais Life expectancy for learning disabled people in the U.K Male 22 yrs less. Female 26 yrs less. 6 out of 10 learning disabled people die under age of 65. From 2018-2021 alone 761 learning disabled kids & 11,138 adults died many from avoidable causes. Satire?

I know from my own experience how wrenching it is to leave government over a point of principle (in my case the proposed fourth covid lockdown), however strongly one feels about it. But principles are the most important thing in politics. That's why @RobertJenrick has done the right thing in setting out his view that the new immigration Bill, as he says, "does not go far enough", and in acknowledging that he can't as a consequence continue in his ministerial position.

@mara_yamauchi @kingstonparkrun I love what Parkrun is - an opportunity for anyone to show up and complete 5k together on a Saturday morning - it’s not about records or first places - it’s about community and that is more important than the few cheats or very competitive runners

@mara_yamauchi @kingstonparkrun The only ways to ensure ‘fairness’ would be some kind of ‘sex verification’ on registration which would kill Parkrun - free 5k, turn up and run (once you’ve proved who you say you are - don’t think so) or get rid of categories which means no first female

Can you not see that you risk damaging what is a universally good, but imperfect thing for the sake of a personal crusade? Take on the small number of cheats not Parkrun

@jwatson252 @kingstonparkrun Are you referring to me, Jo? Please explain how I have an “unfair advantage” over other females? “Ban pros” - how do you define that? Are elite athletes who have to do a day job allowed at parkrun? It is over 10 years since I was “pro” - retired elites also shd be banned?

@jwatson252 @FemaleRunner @parkrunUK You may not care about records & finish positions, but others do. Why is fairness only for elite female athletes? Where do you think elite female athletes start off? How many female parkrun records & “1st Female” finishes held by males is, in your view, fine?

I am a grassroots runner too and a Parkrun volunteer - I compete against myself and others, male, female, others who are similar standard to me. Don’t give a stuff about course records or who is first - that is not what PR is

@jwatson252 @mara_yamauchi @parkrunUK I’m a grass roots runner. Why is fairness only for elite athletes? Males have at least a 12% advantage over an equally trained, talented and motivated female, whatever level of running they are at. That’s like a 3 minute head start in an average parkrun time.

@FemaleRunner @mara_yamauchi @parkrunUK You do realise that the only practical way to ‘ensure fairness’ at Parkrun would be to get rid of all categories and how would that help women? Go fight the genuine battles in elite sport and leave community initiatives to be inclusive in peace.

@parkrunUK My goal is for @parkrunUK to restore fairness to the female results, by stopping the unfair self ID and removing the 20+ women’s records and 140+ first finishes that are currently held by males.
