@JackDuffin Trading these two for picks in this draft would be absolute lunacy, as would trading them after the draft for assets the team can use in 2027. Any suggestion by Berry to trade either player in this fashion ought to be met with an immediate firing.

I would say there are two timelines if they trade Garrett:
Trading Garrett Pre June 1st
Ward is restructured & kept
Trading Garrett Post June 1st
They can trade Ward too
No post June 1st trade designations, you have to wait until June 2nd to do the deal

@egoldie80 @Jeremyinakron17 Fair enough but no Browns fans should trust Berry to properly replace Garrett and Ward. Tearing down the defense would be bizarre.
Haslam’s response to any suggestion by Berry that they trade Garrett to a contender for two LOW firsts should be immediate termination.

This Ty Simpson stuff is just hilarious to me. People are really desperate. The guy is old with limited starts and has terrible measurables (height, weight, hand size). Here is how he stacks up vs all other QBs drafted over 20 years. I cant find any other QB drafted in rd1 with that poor of measurables at this age. Taking him in the top half of rd1 is pretty laughable imo but the NFL is the NFL

Would assume CLE got a partial insurance policy on Deshaun Watson’s 2025 that accounts for some/all of this adjustment.
It wasn’t his whole salary though.
