Let the Epstein class fight the Epstein war. No Canadian should be put in harm’s way for this thing and no American kid either.

@kshahrooz Thank you Kaveh. As a parent of kids at this school I wish it wasn’t there but we live in a reality where it’s needed. Peers can’t believe that in CANADA (not the US) this is something that’s necessary. We live in this country for its freedom, peace and safety. This is not normal

I live near a Jewish school in Toronto, Canada -- Canada --- and since Oct 7 there has been a police truck parked outside of it to ensure it is not shot up (as other Jewish schools have been). Sorry that's not a real enough problem for you, Zaid.

If you can’t call out antisemitism clearly, you are part of the problem. Canada is drifting. And now the world is noticing. “More synagogues… desecrated, burned, shot at… than in any other country.” “We’re witnessing a polite pogrom.” Read that again. That should stop us in our tracks. theatlantic.com/international/…

The words spoken here about our country and community from an elected leader is just as important as the action being taken. We need ours Leaders to step up and be explicit about where this hate leads us and why all Canadians should want no part in it!
Doug Ford@fordnation

This afternoon, I’ve instructed my Attorney General to pursue an injunction against the Al-Quds Day demonstration planned for Toronto. Hate, violence and intimidation have no place on the streets of Canada and our government will fight it however we can.

@markmulroney @ddebow Thank you for speaking out. It’s becoming very clear from recent conversations with peers that the average Canadian has no idea what’s happening. I don’t blame them for living their lives but more people need to bring attention to this.

Please tell me why we no longer care about churches burning, synagogues being shot at? There was a time where there would have been marches if this had happened. Do we need focus groups to tell us this is wrong? How many ⛪️s have burnt in Canada? How many synagogues have been shot at? Wake up 🇨🇦! Enough.

@saifmahamood @fahdananta I don't believe 'for the last 10 years' is at all accurate. I'll concede there were some years where people were arrested, however, we will likely disagree on whether they were reacting to some agitation or instigation.

An incredible year for turbopuffer is closing. We now manage trillions of vectors and tens of petabytes. We’ve puffed up revenue 10x and headcount 5x. We’ve helped Anthropic, Cursor, Notion and others connect every petabyte to AI to ship the most ambitious version of their product. This week we doubled down with Lachy Groom and added Thrive Capital to the team. They have both proven themselves repeatedly to us over the past 2 years. In 2025, we’ve proved the puffer architecture is capable of state-of-the-art vector and text search. Next year, we’ll continue to optimize the core and widen our surface area, to make it effortless to search every byte.

@markrmcqueen @RobynUrback Thanks @markrmcqueen for your consistent moral courage these past two years. My 7 y/o daughter asked 2 days ago why the Police trailer was still outside her school & not at the police station. Shameful that it took Bondi for MSM to take a moral stand with clear language.

.@RobynUrback, love your work, but for >2 yrs some WERE speaking out about the rampant anti-Jewish hate on Canada's streets. Inexplicably, few in the MSM were paying attention: Oct 15/23: My Canada does not include the Hamas flag markmcqueen.substack.com/p/my-canada-do… Oct 19/23: Be either consistent or silent - there can be no middle ground markmcqueen.substack.com/p/be-either-co… Oct 31/23: Corporate Canada must do more to combat anti-Semitism markmcqueen.substack.com/p/corporate-ca… Nov 7/23: Talking past each other markmcqueen.substack.com/p/talking-past… Excerpt: Instead of talking past (shouting?) the rest of us, those who are marching in our streets to protest Jewish-owned businesses, or at an Israeli Consulate, need to help we non-aligned Canadians understand why Israel is being held a different standard than, say, Saudi Arabia vis-a-vis Yemen? Why are you not demanding that CPPIB divest from China, for example, concurrent with the UofT Grad Students’ Union’s formal request that their school’s endowment exit all Israeli investments? Why are you not also calling for a “cease-fire” in front of 1151 West Georgia Street in Vancouver, home of the Honorary Consulate for Syria, when an estimated 18 Syrian children die each day? While the charitable among us might simply say that people “forgot with the passage of time,” these clear double standards may well be anti-Semitism at play. If not, please help we fair-minded Canadians better understand where you’re coming from — why these are all just unfortunate coincidences. If I were you, I’d do it soon, before these local images and incendiary speeches are irreversibly ingrained for all-time in the minds of Canadian-born kids. It won’t help your cause if they’re left to unilaterally process these inexplicable dichotomies. Share you passion, perspective, choices and context with them. Please help them understand why “Free Palestine from the Jordan River to the Sea” isn’t a call to eradicate Israel. And how “By Any Means Necessary” isn’t support for the raping of Jewish girls or the fire-bombing of Israeli families. Why Israel should “decolonize” Palestine, just as you protest on lands in Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver that were, according to many, “colonized.” Mar 29/24: "No Justice" in Gaza means "No Peace" in Toronto markmcqueen.substack.com/p/no-justice-i… April 12/24: "Toronto the Good" bows down to Iran markmcqueen.substack.com/p/toronto-the-… May 15/24: Doug Ford is right. I too am ‘fed up’ with the anti-Israel protests thestar.com/opinion/star-c… June 26/24: Why do the Liberals find the easy parts so difficult? thestar.com/opinion/star-c… Aug 7/24: Some easy steps on the terror front thestar.com/opinion/star-c… Nov 27/24: The far left is exposing its moral inconsistencies thestar.com/opinion/star-c… Excerpt: The ostensibly “pro-Palestinian” protests that followed Hamas’ unprovoked attack on innocent Israeli citizens — and the predictable war that followed — have served to expose the far left’s moral inconsistency. A year ago, I asked those who were marching against both Israel and “Zionism” to help we “non-aligned Canadians” understand why they were stopping to protest outside Jewish-owned businesses or Toronto’s Mount Sinai Hospital? I wondered why Israel was being held to a different standard than, say, Saudi Arabia vis-à-vis its military intervention in Yemen? June 11/25: Will protests over Israel-Hamas get ugly in Toronto? Only if police refuse to act thestar.com/opinion/star-c… Sept 9/25: Is the silent, sane majority ready to re-establish the parameters of “Canadian values?" markmcqueen.substack.com/p/is-the-silen… Sept 10/25: Be either consistent, or silent -- there can be no middle ground (part 2) markmcqueen.substack.com/p/be-either-co… Sept 23/25: "The fruits of October 7th" markmcqueen.substack.com/p/the-fruits-o… Dec 2/25: Rampant antisemitism, ever-higher airport fees, “decolonizing” healthcare....are we living in a simulation? markmcqueen.substack.com/p/rampant-anti… Dec 14/25: Is Canada’s news media complicit in the ongoing attacks against the Jewish community? markmcqueen.substack.com/p/is-canadas-n… Excerpt: Tomorrow is another news day, and these same media leaders can begin to repair the damage by making an effort to better understand what is going on in our communities. Jesse Brown’s in-depth podcast, What Is Happening Here, is as good a place to start as any. Once you’ve done that, follow the “pro-Palestinian” groups marauding around Toronto’s Bathurst and Lawrence neighbourhood each and every weekend; then try to find similar footage of organized bands of GTA residents protesting homes that housed families of Saudi heritage in response to the September 11th attacks. I’d also recommend that our media leaders host a series of 60-minute stakeholder meetings with B’nai Brith, CIJA, MAC, NCCM, the local Mayors, Police Chief and Solicitor General, for example. The goal is multi-faceted, but the time has come to determine what exactly “Globalize the Intifada” “By Any Means Necessary” means. Promising that Canada will “never to bow to terrorism, violence, hatred and intimidation” isn’t the same thing as doing something about it. #StandUpToHate
Robyn Urback@RobynUrback

There should have been a chorus of outrage from anyone who understands how hate manifests, how it metastasizes, and how it corrodes our social fabric. But few spoke out — either out of fear, or because they actually approved of the choice to protest outside Jewish homes

The Nova Music Festival Exhibition tells the story of the brutal massacre carried out by the terrorist entity Hamas on October 7, 2023.   Young Israeli revellers came together that day to dance and celebrate, and were targeted by inconceivable violence.   I came to witness accounts of the atrocities committed — and hear directly from survivors and families of those murdered and taken hostage.   We can't look away from this hate, or from the rise in antisemitism we've seen in Canada since. We will fight to protect Jewish communities at home, and advocate for long-term peace and security in the Middle East.

That man was not born hateful, he was taught to hate. Note the cadence of how the man, who murdered two Israelis, chanted “Free Palestine”. That’s how they’ve chanted it on our streets, as they block ambulances, target Jewish businesses, and march through Jewish neighbourhoods.

Hollywood was built by outsiders. The founders of the biggest names in Hollywood today – @warnerbros, @UniversalPics, Columbia Pictures – were almost all Jewish immigrants and Holocaust survivors. They were outsiders who turned to storytelling as a way to create hope. They didn’t have access. They didn’t have permission. So they built something no one could ignore. The best ideas often come from those who aren’t supposed to be in the room. Talked about this and more with Mike Milken on @BigShotPodcast 👇 youtu.be/WWKq6eygBTM

Tsahi Idan’s family was just notified that his body is expected to be returned home tonight. They held on to hope for 509 days. Do not shield your eyes from this last image of Tsahi. Moments before, his 18-year-old daughter, Maayan was shot by terrorists and died in his arms. They took his wife Gali’s phone and livestreamed the horrors from her Facebook page to all her friend. The family was huddled on the kitchen floor, covered in Maayan's blood, this kids asking "are they killing us? are they killing us"? It shouldn’t end this way. Please never forget Tsahi and Maayan.
