Hydra 1.3.0 is here. Hydra is a scaling solution unique to Cardano that Ethereum and Solana simply can't build. I personally have massive expectations for Hydra. It's the single biggest reason I believe in Cardano's future. It's only been six months since v1.0 last October, and we're already at 1.3.0. Head initialization costs cut by ~4x. Cardano's L2 is quietly getting to production level. Hydra doesn't just deliver an insane user experience. I think it's a perfect fit for the agent economy that's about to blow up. Midnight architecture is built around a point that should have been obvious much earlier: not every useful piece of information belongs in public view. If the goal is to bring real financial activity onchain, then privacy cannot be treated like an add-on. It has to exist at the base layer of how applications are designed, how data is handled, and how verification happens. That is where Midnight feels structurally different. Instead of forcing full exposure and trying to patch privacy in later, it is designed around selective disclosure and zero-knowledge-based verification. In other words, the network can prove what needs to be proven without making every underlying detail visible to everyone watching. For RWAs, that is not a side benefit. That is the requirement. Most chains can make an asset visible. That does not mean they make it workable. The next phase of RWA will not be decided on who can tokenize the most things but rather; who can support real assets without turning sensitive financial data into public infrastructure.
