They are better ways to remove subsidy in an economy that’s petrol dependent though. 2 truths can co exist. The economic meltdown that followed was as a result of the reckless implementation.
El@Promythious

For avoidance of doubt; removal of subsidy and elimination of the parallel exchange regime are two extremely useful policies implemented by Tinubu. Anyone who promises to reverse them is a THIEF that we must stone. But you people like your lies sha, all the best.

@k_konae I totally agree with you cuz. I just strongly believe that social media has diluted our anger and contributed majorly to our inability to recognize the right channels to pour out our frustrations. I personally, would have gone berserk if I didn’t have a X page to rant on.

It has always been like that. It’s just very outrageous now because this is our reality, we are seeing its absurdity in real time. People protested back then because it was political. Do you think Nigeria will be the same assuming Obi won the election and all of these are still happening? APC would’ve shut down the country.
Oluwa OG⚡️@Spesh_OG

@k_konae More killings and kidnaps, higher % increase in prices than before & people protested back then. Same Nigerians, that you call docile. In our minds, coming online to rant makes us feel like we’ve done something, if the previous generation had that, they’d have sat at home too.

@Spesh_OG Well Nigerians have never come together to protest for one thing and get a meaningful result. We are too docile and too tribal for that. We know how to start. But to maintain and finish it? We cannot. And that needs to change

@k_konae No my ski. The N87 is just there for contrast, I’m not talking about one specific protest. I’m using it to refer to that time period (early 2000s and up) before social media fully gained ground and gave us an excuse not to come out.

Well I beg to differ. The N87 was politically motivated not an organic protest. But because many people share that sentiment, it gathered traction. This current government sponsored the protest, many of these current religious leaders amplified it. The people that organized that protest are the same one ruling now.
Oluwa OG⚡️@Spesh_OG

The older generation didn’t have the luxury of fake protesting on Twitter from the discomfort of their homes. Na as he dey hot everybody dey fall out. Thats why niggas could protest at N87/liter but it’s crickets at N1400. We are not docile at all.

First it was yahoo boys, then they deserved it because they are criminals, nobody cared about the rule of law, the structure. What we didn’t account for is that we have enabled the systemic violation of rule of law. Now every young guy paraded is a criminal guilty or not, he deserves it. Now it is coming to bite the non criminals who folded their arms then. Whether you like it or not, the illegality you support now will always come to bite you later. The criminal you support now because of selfish interest will come back to bite you. The criminals you do not want your children to be like now will definitely rule your children tomorrow. Make all of us continue

What happened at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital yesterday is a national disgrace and must not be treated lightly! Calling on @officialEFCC to promote lawful conduct; to publicly call the officers involved in the act to order, @Fmohnigeria @nighealthwatch to protect our healthcare system, and the presidency @NGRPresident and @NGRSenate to look into this, so this doesn’t happen to any healthcare worker again. @UN @WHO @WHONigeria @UNICEF_Nigeria Justice must prevail. Say NO TO VIOLENCE AGAINST MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS. Enough is Enough.

Tech companies should invest in talent, I agree but have you dumb asses sat down and reflect on how this is the result of our failing/failed educational system?. I studied computer engineering and I can’t even remember using my computer to write hello world. We fucking wrote on paper. You guys are so stupid we want everything handed over to us so bad we can’t even call out those whose job it was in the first place. Otedola should do this, dangote do that, elumelu should do another one. But not your fucking president, ministers, governors, LGA. They are master political tacticians abi
