Never saw a coffered ceiling like this, on the underside of a car port. What a cool place.

@archpng Great post. The aesthetic is horrible. The core idea is interesting. They just can’t get away from thinking buildings need to look like shipping containers.

Most apartment buildings use long shared corridors to reach as many homes as possible. At Sempacherhof in Basel, Miller & Maranta took a different approach. The typical floor is organized around three stair-and-lift cores, with each core serving only two apartments. This removes the need for a long shared corridor and gives every home direct access from its own core. The fragmented plan also allows the apartments to open toward multiple sides, bringing more daylight and natural ventilation into the homes. Three cores. Six homes. No shared corridor.

🚨WOW!!! Firefighters and college football players showed up to a Tennessee senior home...to pull grandmas and grandpas down a MASSIVE slip 'n slide!!! Seniors with dementia and Parkinson's laughed like little kids again. This is the annual "Ride 'n Slide" at Adams Place in Murfreesboro, Tennessee where a giant tarp is stretched across the lawn and the Murfreesboro Fire Department keeps it soaked and lifts residents safely on and off. The Middle Tennessee State football team spent their day pulling grandmas across the water on inner tubes and cheering them on every single ride. One resident, Mike Mitchell, an Army veteran and a retired minister who preached for SIXTY YEARS, talked himself into it right there on the lawn. One grandma went down FOUR times and came up smiling saying, "Well that was fast!" Organizers say the residents with dementia and Parkinson's light up brightest of all. For one afternoon, no diagnoses, no age, just water, laughter, and people cheering your name. That's so amazing... GOD BLESS THESE PEOPLE!!!! 🇺🇸

Just rewatched Abel Ferrara’s BAD LIEUTENANT (1992), a deeply Catholic film concealed in the costume of a neo-noir crime drama. The surface is pure sleaze, but beneath that filthy facade lies a story of transgression, grace, and redemption. Was very moved by Keitel’s performance.

Something doesn’t add up with Senator Mitch McConnell’s situation. He’s now been hospitalized for over five weeks following a fall and mild pneumonia. His office says no broken bones, concussion, heart attack, or stroke. Yet Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear revealed he received two calls from different agencies saying McConnell had “passed.” That’s incredibly strange and raises serious questions. The American people especially Kentuckians deserve full transparency about the health of their longtime senator. Hoping for accurate information and a full recovery, but the lack of straight answers is very concerning. See the full article in the comments.👇

It is now week 5 of Senator Mitch McConnell’s hospitalization after a fall and a mild case of pneumonia. According to his office, he did not suffer a concussion, broken bones, a heart attack, or a stroke. Given the unusually prolonged hospitalization under those circumstances, it might be worth Dr. Mehmet Oz @DrOzCMS taking a closer look at George Washington University Hospital’s Medicare billing for this stay See the video link in comments.👇

@WallStreetApes Maybe I’m old. I remember a time when we didn’t need medical insurance. You would see your doctor. They would actually look you over check you out not just talk. Pay as you leaving. Need a referral? the desk would call and make an appointment as you paid.

Americans are tired of our healthcare system requiring them to make 3+ appointments just for one issue - American needs to see a dermatologist, he’s find first he needs to see primary care for a referral - He wants 2 weeks for the appointment - At the appointment he’s told he needs to see dermatology and gets a referral - He waits 2 weeks for the appointment - At the appointment he’s told he won’t be seeing the doctor, just the techs to take photos and will schedule with the doctor So now he needs to make another appointment. Which means he’s now paid for 3 appointments for one issue, and he knew he needed to see a dermatologist in the first place This is a scam Remember Casey Means outright exposes the medical system has been redesigned for this exact purpose. To make as many appointments as possible for each issue We need healthcare reform. Healthcare should not be a for-profit business

It was an honor to welcome USCGC EAGLE — America’s Tall Ship — to the Charlestown Navy Yard, berthed alongside USS CONSTITUTION, America’s Ship of State. What a magnificent sight—and a memorable part of Sail Boston. Fair winds, Eagle. 🇺🇸 #SailBoston #Boston #TallShips #USCG

I have not felt this fulfilled in a long, long time. Maybe ever. I’m a writer. I work in a bookstore. I wish my mom was here to see me be as happy as she always wanted me to be, but living this life for her will have to be enough. ❤️‍🔥
