Another resignation @myNSFAS Same story, different name. A revolving door leadership style — no continuity, no results. Not good! Landlords STILL waiting for 2026 rates. Costs up, but expected to operate on 2025 rates? Doesn’t work. We need stability, and decisions — NOW. 🇿🇦

@ewnupdates Frankly, this was going nowhere fast. The real issue? A failing Board that has not delivered for landlords or students. Landlords STILL waiting for 2026 rates. Can you believe it? Costs up, pressure up but expected to operate on 2025 rates. Not sustainable. Not fair.

@AdvoBarryRoux We have not been paid, and we are still owed 2024 and 2025 allowances. NSFAS is still deducting 5% from the student’s R5200 per month to pay the middleman before paying the landlords.
No one’s talking about this 5% that is literally stolen from student’s allowances.

He adds, “All people who have sentimental ties with NSFAS are attacking me.”

These risks are real.
But they are manageable — if addressed collectively.
Infrastructure demands governance.
And governance demands leadership.

@SABCNews “The President has correctly identified the student accommodation shortage as a national challenge. The next step is to ensure that the funding framework supports the very investors and landlords who are expected to deliver that capacity.”
