chesscom is straight up evil. ChessBase India is getting cringe day by day. Triple Take is filled with garbage takes. Levy is clickbait. Hikaru repeats the same thing a million times. Chess Dojo is good but is for a niche audience. Chess needs better content creators.

I am impressed with Sindarov's score, but even more with his post-game analysis. He visited Peter and Jan after holding a difficult draw yesterday and shared the lines he saw. The sharpness and presicion in his calculations I witnessed are second to none. I'd even say, on this particular occassion it was comparable only to Kasparov in his best days. Sindarov is not as articulate yet, but chess-wise that was very impressive indeed.

The first 3 games of the candidates have clearly shown that some people are very overrated and others underrated. Those who actively compete against top level competition obviously have a clear edge. Let's see how the chess continues to speak for itself.

Anyone but Caruana winning the Candidates would be a disappointment for chess fans who don't have a horse in the race. Every real chess fan wants the world champion to be the best player in the world. Some will say that's impossible without Carlsen. Those people were saying the same thing about Karpov in 1975. The only difference is that Carlsen still plays, just not classical. The new fast classical format was introduced for him to return. I don't have a strong opinion on it yet, but here's what's clear: Carlsen has played 34 classical games since 2024. Not technically inactive by FIDE rules, but the rules need to change. Tennis figured this out. If you don't play, you lose ranking. Nakamura, world no. 2, would have played almost the same 34 games as Carlsen since 2024 if not for Mickey Mouse events. So the only two players rated over 2800 are, in the best case, semi-retired from classical chess. Caruana? 151 classical games since 2024. Rating consistently around 2800, now world no. 3. He is the best active player in the world. Period. The best player is determined by classical rating, and it should be determined by who actually plays, not by comparing active players to retired ones. I hope the best active player wins the Candidates 2026. #FIDECandidates

I think that Greenland should belong to USA, just like Alaska. Greenland is closer to the United States than Denmark. And if America wants to remain the strongest power in the world, then territorial integrity is key. The United States should pay Denmark a fair price.
