I'm surprised it took this long. This can be a huge time waster if you click an ad that just goes to some other site and you're wondering where the thing you searched is, and takes you a while to figure out you're on the wrong site altogether. I don't search specific names because I want something else instead.

The Delhi High Court just ruled against Google in a trademark case that every Indian founder needs to know about!! Hindware sued because searches for "Hindware" returned competitor ads - Cera, Grohe, above their own listing. Customers looking specifically for Hindware were being intercepted at the moment of highest intent. The court ruled it trademark infringement. Competitor keyword bidding on your brand name is now legally actionable in India. Search your brand name on Google right now. If a competitor's ad appears before yours, you have a case, and your competitor has a problem. This reshapes performance marketing in India. Keyword bidding on competitor names is standard practice across every category - beauty, fintech, edtech, D2C. The brands doing it most aggressively are also the ones most exposed to this ruling. Let's see how this pans out.

Meet Sampuran Singh, a farmer from Punjab. Railways acquired his land for a new track & paid him ₹25 lakh/acre. Later he found another farmer got ₹70 lakh/acre for similar land. He went to court. Court ordered Railways to pay ₹1.47 crore compensation within a deadline. Railways paid only ₹42 lakh. He returned to court. Then came the wild part: Court allowed him to seize the Delhi–Amritsar Swarn Shatabdi train as collateral until payment. He reached the station with legal orders & briefly took control of the train. Later Railways got it released. He’s still fighting for the remaining money.

I protested against the RSS a few days back. That made the Principal and his staff so rattled that they now want my 60+ year-old father, who lives in Chhattisgarh, to come to Delhi and meet them. The college did not inform me before writing to my parents, nor did they have any conversation with me regarding any wrongdoing on my part. This is clear-cut mental harassment and torture of my father and my family. I lost my mother in January. The Principal knows this very well, yet now he is intimidating my only parent -my father. They wrote the letter on 28th April, sent it on 13th May, and my father received it on 25th May. I come from a Dalit family from a small village in Chhattisgarh, and I have faced several other discriminatory issues from this college administration as well. I never knew that exercising my rights could create such a big problem for my family. Despite all this, I am not intimidated. I do not fear the administration. I am the elected President of the Shivaji College Students’ Union. If they are intimidating me, imagine the situation of ordinary students in Delhi University. Babasaheb Ambedkar and his Constitution stand by me. I will not bow down. The RSS has destroyed academic institutions, and I will continue fighting against it. Jai Hind. Jai Samvidhaan.

Every 40yr old in India has EMIs/loans. Spendings are out of whack. Buying 20k round-trip flights as if it is tandoori chicken on Zomato. And very few exercise, because where are they going to find the time when they are busy earning to pay the next EMI.
