I've had a burger craving all year and been on the hunt trying to find the best burger in town.
I've eaten maybe 20 burgers so far (it's 2026 week 15 btw) and they've all been just acceptable. B+ territory but no bangers. And now I think I should have been recording / taking notes - not to post on social media, but because I can't freaking remember half of them.

i find it mildly funny HRT's discourse is for hiring interns *so* good they all went off & ran generational companies
& meanwhile citadel's discourse is in hiring completely unproven interns so early they can't run anywhere else

Thinking about interns today (iykyk)... theres always a new twist in job market, but I do really feel for current undergrads. Big disruption, and a feeling like you must make optimal moves or something terrible happens ("permanent underclass" memes etc). I have no amazing advice, except: to resist pressure tactics (you most likely have more optionality than you realize) and value culture over any minor offer differences. Now more than ever you want to work at a place that deeply "gets it" re: AI - no one knows the perfect way to navigate this, but best to be in a place thats riding the wave as best as anyone can, and ideally has been for much longer than e.g. ChatGPT has been out. wagmi, i hope!
