McDavid single handedly took his team from missing the playoffs to home ice in the first round, without Leon when they needed him most. McDavid is the player most valuable to his team and it should t be a debate. All the other options? Their teams still likely make it without them. #NHL #Hart

@island_oiler Honestly I'm in the same "Anyone but LA" simply because we play them every year. It's one reason why I dislike the current playoff format.

I’m a little shocked to see how many people want us to play the ducks. I gotta say- they worry me a bit, they have played us hard this year. Heavy - fast- good goalie. I dunno. 😬 Give me LA first round- hopefully we get healthy, then play ducks or knights lol

On the next-to-last day of the regular season, EDM could still play Utah, LA, Anaheim, or Colorado in the first round. The Oilers will NOT play Vegas in the first round.

@itsWozzz 2007 Hurricanes for sure. Also recall hearing it was one of the rare occasions where the two teams in the Finals didn't make the playoffs the following season. Fairly sure it's happened more recently though.
