I am deeply saddened by the horrific multiple suicide bombings in Maiduguri, Borno State, which claimed the lives of 23 innocent people and injured over 100 others, as confirmed by the Nigeria Police Force. These latest attacks, following other recent incidents in Borno signal a disturbing resurgence of senseless terrorism that threatens the peace our communities have struggled so hard to rebuild after years of relative calm. This cannot be tolerated. Now is not the time for defensiveness or complacency. Our gallant armed forces must be fully empowered to take decisive, proactive action against these enemies of Nigeria. The Federal and State governments must leave no stone unturned in providing all necessary resources and support to enable our troops to decisively defeat these terrorist networks. My heart goes out to the bereaved families, the injured, and all the people of Borno State. I extend my deepest condolences to the government, and the citizens of Borno during this difficult time. - RMK

Zulum Condemns Recent Boko Haram/ISWAP Incidents, Sympathises with Victims of Attacks @BornoGovt State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara @ProfZulum, has strongly condemned the recent spate of attacks by Boko Haram and ISWAP in various parts of the state, including Maiduguri-Damboa Road, Marte, Chibok, Gwoza, Kala Balge, and other affected communities. Governor Zulum expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the families of all victims affected by the tragic incidents, which included an improvised explosive device (IED) attack along the Maiduguri-Damboa Road. The explosion, which occurred on 12 May, claimed the lives of two staff members of the Damboa Local Education Authority who were en route to Maiduguri to sit for the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) examination. Several members of the armed forces and innocent civilians have also lost their lives in the recent wave of violence. In a statement by his spokesperson, Mr Dauda Iliya, the Governor reaffirmed the state government’s unwavering commitment to working closely with the Federal Government, military, and other security agencies to contain the security challenges. “These acts of terror are deeply condemnable. The recent tragic loss of our education staff, gallant troops, and innocent civilians is a painful reminder of the challenges we continue to face,” Governor Zulum stated. He added: “I am more determined than ever to support the military, security agencies, and our volunteer forces in the fight to end terrorism and insurgency in our state.” Governor Zulum recalled his recent visit to Gwoza, where he engaged with military personnel and the Izge community, as part of ongoing efforts to reinforce resilience and ensure the protection of lives and property. “The recent surge in attacks will not deter our resolve to tackle the scourge of the 16-year-long insurgency. I urge the people of Borno to remain resilient and prayerful. This is a partial eclipse — and we shall overcome it, Insha Allah,” the Governor assured. Governor Zulum concluded by extending his thoughts and prayers to the families of the fallen heroes, innocent civilians, and all citizens of Borno State during this difficult period.

If I I WRITE CODE and six months later I go back, read it, and don't have a clue what is going on, I made some mistakes. If I write code and six months later my teammate goes back to it, reads it and is lost, then I've messed up majorly as a software developer. Code readability should ALWAYS be a priority for stronger maintaining abilities.

The past few days have been horrendous trying to get Premium Motor Spirit (PMS)/fuel. This has been the experience of most Nigerians all over the country. There are long queues in Abuja. We are paying more yet we cannot get the fuel to buy. It is sold in some places for as much as 800 naira per liter. This is preposterous! Nigerians can barely feed. There is inflation and the purchasing power of citizens is unprecedentedly lower. What's the whole point of the supposed “subsidy removal”? Even at such am exorbitant rate, Nigerians cannot get fuel to buy. It is unfair to citizens when leaders continue to shove unnecessary things down their throats of citizens. You continue to ask citizens to make sacrifices while you bask in the euphoria of flamboyant lifestyles funded by the same citizens you're straining their finances daily. The APC-led Tinubu administration must wake up now!
