@paddygrant Thank you. My Messages and What’s App was alive last night with discussion ( how tricky were those gloves!) and everyone saying how sad they were the series has ended. It a high point of the TV year! Well done, such great tv.

I am shooketh to the core whilst simultaneously killing myself rage laughing. I have just finished watching an interview between 2 American high school students and 2 English/UK students discussing the making of tea. The American students said “We don’t really have kettles here, we usually just microwave the water in the cup”… to which the clearly shocked, mildly angry and confused British lad says, “Well, why don’t you just go out and buy a kettle?, it’s not that hard!”. Oh…. My…. God…. Please tell me, my American friends, that this isn’t true! Surely you have kettles? Surely! I need to lie down. I can’t handle this level of confrontational stress! 🫖☕️

@PrimaryHT_Mum Just number of trips in general is down. Mainly to do with prohibitive coach costs in my experience.

More and more children not going on residentials each year. Finances. Parental anxiety. Pupil anxiety. Don’t want to. Are residentials dying out?

A fantastic day of #HLLOutreach yesterday at Tarleton Mere Brow CE Primary School. Professor Tuesday covered both Prehistory and Great Fire of London. Thank you for being such attentive learners 😊

If you have kids of school age & get a chance, please tell the staff who look after them how grateful you are for the difference they are making. I can't tell you how hard my colleagues across the land are working for the best for their pupils in the most trying of circumstances.

I am 47. My pensionable age is 67. I do not intend to teach for another 20 years. I don’t think I could! What are you teachers out there doing when leaving the profession?
