Did @BBCr4today really just do a whole package about drilling in the N Sea without once even mentioning #climate change? And not having anyone challenging the one-sided claims of former BP boss? So irresponsible #bbcr4today

Instead of letting Thames Water off the hook for £123m in fines, I've got another idea. Why not ban it from paying a penny in dividends until it stops dumping shit in rivers?

I've long thought and continue to think that the single dumbest group of people are those who believe that the US Govt fights wars to free the oppressed peoples of the world. The slightest knowledge of US history shows it far more often imposes dictatorships than uproots them.

This has to be some kind of grim joke. Does Yvette Cooper not know that we've noticed that the Strait was closed as a result of the invasion. When there's a war, people do things like blockages, sieges, and counter-actions. The Strait was open before the war, Yvette.

The UK's foreign secretary has condemned what she says is Iran's recklessness in blockading the Strait of Hormuz. Yvette Cooper is chairing a meeting of nations who are seeking to re-open the shipping lane. Iran war latest: trib.al/hd4jVg9 📺 Sky 501 and YouTube

BLACKROCK MOVES INTO NHS PROPERTY This is real, and people should pay attention. BlackRock and the Greater Manchester Pension Fund have launched a joint venture targeting an initial £1 billion portfolio of NHS leased real estate assets. Reports say the venture starts with 65 modern primary care sites serving more than 700,000 patients across England, Scotland and Wales. This is about primary healthcare property linked to GP and NHS services. It does not prove that BlackRock will own NHS hospitals forever. It does show that private finance is moving deeper into the property behind public healthcare. That matters because the public should be told exactly how this works. Who owns what. Who collects rent. What returns are expected. How long the arrangements run. What risks sit behind the deal. If public healthcare property is being turned into an investment vehicle, the public deserves the full structure in plain English. @wesstreeting @Keir_Starmer (And you'd not be following Blair's disgraced PFI initiative to give a short-terms sheen to the NHS by securing private loans from corporate pals like Blackwatch - at huge expense: sky-high interest rates which feed off NHS funding for decades and decades )

The BMA seems surprised that if they reject the deal on offer and go on strike their members don’t get what the Government is offering. We have time before Easter weekend to resolve this dispute. A deal on jobs and pay is on the table. @Keir_Starmer 👇🏻 thetimes.com/article/18f9fd…

@BladeoftheS So Wes Streeting is running with Blair's disgraced 'PFI' policy - using NHS funding to pay huge interest rates to corporate loan shark pals - who'll keep NHS appearances up short term while embedding themselves into the NHS to syphon off NHS funding for decades to come

Now your 'NHS' hospitals will be owned by Blackrock forever and the money you spend on Healthcare actually goes in rent payments to Blackrock. Not a thing to boast about, but I'm sure it has very nice kickbacks.

@RachelReevesMP This is a cynical government spinning out of control as it prepares for the local elections : All those so called 'achievements' wilt under scrutiny. (E.g. the money off energy bills is promised only until a few weeks after the local elections. )

From today, energy bills will fall by 7% for families across the country. We took the decision in the Budget to ask those with the broadest shoulders to pay their fair share, and today we see the result of that. Vital cost of living support delivered by this government.

Starmer is weeding out opposition so that he can try to end your democratic right to trial by a jury of your peers. Make no mistake, this is because juries regularly find people of conscience not-guilty in protest trials. Labour is captured by corporations. 🖼️ Allan Cavanagh
