@Prophetised @CreightonAg @dyerjonathan @Think_Agri @yieldprophet I'm currently attempting to answer that question for my research project! Running APSIM simulations across the Wimmera and Mallee to see if fertiliser strategy (N Bank vs YP) affects N location, supply and uptake. Would be very keen to get your thoughts on it Tim

@CreightonAg @dyerjonathan @Think_Agri @yieldprophet For N to be absorbed by roots the soil needs to be moist. Particularly in low rainfall environments, how often do we have moist soil where the N is located in the profile? That will obviously have an effect on N use efficieny. I am expecting good efficiency this year.

Been looking at our @yieldprophet reports this morning. It is September 23 and our yield lines are vertical on half of the paddock. The yield is set. Extra rain won’t make a difference. Amazing for the Mallee. #NewHRZ

@MichaelHCOU Fewer breakdowns and less weather holdups Michael, but it still needs a good operator. Luckily no one can see your muck ups driving past when you are using a computer model! UK is going very well, can't wait for the summer. I've started playing footy over here which has been fun!

What a difference a year does (or doesn't) make. Moved to the other side of the world, but still finding a way to be sowing in the Wimmera Mallee - just swapped a tractor for a laptop!

We've got some interesting results from the BCG and @wimmeracma Soil Amelioration Trial at Netherby are showing some interesting results. BCG are researching the effects of different soil amelioration techniques on sandy duplex soils in the Wimmera.

Charging soil with nitrogen - brown manure crops in for an early termination this year with a super start. After areas of 5t ha barley in 2019 - a lot of N going out the gate. One step back , to go three steps forward and top up the organic pool of N @agronomeiste

Don’t Forget! @agronomeiste and Harm Van Rees are presenting an interactive digital workshop at 4pm this Wed, join in to learn how to budget Nitrogen requirements to achieve better results and much more. #NLP @MalleeCMA
