I can’t see how anyone who was actually out in the urban core of Atlanta this weekend could be against BeltLine rail (and every other MoreMarta project) at this point. Literal breaking point of our infrastructure.

Very few of those miles were from the city and should not be credited to the city.
GDOT, Midtown Alliance, & UWCID build as the city in large has not.
If anything, that’s damning of the city’s ability to deliver.
While getting better, true mileage comps are pitiful.

Southside means a 10 year wait for any transit. We have money for & should do both.
People forget Eastside is not just rich people. Numerous transitional & low income neighbors overlooked.
More zero car households along Eastside than the Southside, too.

@HowEPhil If it were up to me they’d just give everyone an e-bike and expand a bike lane. I live on the SST and do like the idea of testing the transit down here first. Would also benefit more lower socioeconomic people. Eastside beltline has become a rich person watering hole
