@emilykmay I did a silver sequin dress for the reception (after dinner and first dance) highly recommend! I just got mine at kohls. And I loved my dress, but it couldn’t keep up with the dancing.

The Keweenaw region in Upper Michigan has some of the highest quality copper in the world, being 95-98% pure. There is evidence of hundreds of ancient mines that date between 4,000 - 10,000 BC and that hundreds of tons of copper was removed. But, we have no clear idea what happened to all of it 👀 As someone who grew up there, I can confirm that there are ancient mines scattered all over, and that local tribes like the Obijwa tell stories that those mines were there when they arrived. If you like ancient mysteries that are a little more niche, this is one worth looking into. This is the kind of stuff that gets my worldbuilding wheels turning.

@lydiakauppi My in-laws have a “cottage” water pumped from the river 4 season but barely in rural Ontario. I grew up in 218, only ever heard of cabin, but always knew it could be a house, or rustic, and you don’t know til you ask/see.

I’ve always found it interesting in the UP there is a delineation between cabins and camps (rich people have cabins) but Minnesotans only seem to have cabins. But I’m curious if rural Minnesotans also see the distinction, because I’ve only lived in the cities here.
