Lovely article and infographic about healthcare practitioners' role in promoting physical activity and supporting patients to become more active. If exercise came in tablet form, we would all take it.Unfortunately it's not that simple, especially for those in pain.

Brilliant article by @PeteOSullivanPT.Important to have such publications in mainstream media, beliefs about "bad" posture are deeply engrained and cause understandablebut unnecessary concern. It has been useful to share this article alongside discussions in clinic @guardian.

Only one in five adults meet WHO recommended weekly aerobic and resistance training guidelines. If exercise was a tablet, we all would take it. bit.ly/3Wbgeas

Happy 75th Anniversary to our amazing #NHS 🎉 Especially @KingstonHospNHS where I’ve worked for almost 30yrs; where my Mum came from Greece to work as a nurse in the late 50s; where our sons were born & where we’ve all required their services over the years - so thankful 🙏 🩵

Many commentators talk about the importance of so-called "soft skills" for leadership into the future. @IDEOU has (so appropriately) rebranded them as "power skills". Here's their brilliant list of 12 key power skills: 1) Cultivating joy 2) Meaningful collaboration 3) Small-scale experimentation 4) Grounding in purpose 5) Creating community 6) Frame shifting 7) Leading with empathy 8) Emotional proofreading 9) Making room for more voices 10) Leading with questions 11) Finding balance 12) Agility ideou.com/blogs/inspirat… Thank you @FerraroRoberto for the link & graphic

Very impressive EFIC pain school. Well organised. Top speakers from different professions & research domains. However the attendes (from 17 different countries!) were the most impressive - so reflective, so curios, so knowledgeable. Pleasure to interact with you. @EFIC_org

Uncertainty drives behaviour; but HCPs are not always tuned in to understand how patients understand (or don’t understand) their pain, and thus also don’t understand why patients behave the way they do. We must understand to support! Prof @MichaelRathleff @EFIC_org #MSKpain23

Do physical activities you enjoy, for fun, and for health benefits. But, challenge yourself to do exercises that are hard for you on the regular, to get stronger, and to prepare you for future life moments when you want to be fit and strong.
