Serious question… Who is benefiting from the mass deportation? Because it’s going to cost a LOT of our taxes, and take a LOT of our resources… so who is it benefiting? Bc it’s not the American people.

Ron DeSantis told his followers to “grab” Dr. Fauci and “chuck him across the Potomac.” Dr. Fauci is 81 years old. He was forced to hire his own security guards. It would be nice if the DOJ would hold DeSantis accountable for making explicit threats against a federal official.

@peterme I think it's the case in all EU countries now. I've been to five since April and have seen almost no masks, haven't had to show vax cards or have tests.

The point is not “there is nothing to learn here, don’t analyze the race, politics is just one big dumb pendulum.” The point is there are probably many reasonable takeaways from VA and one of them is that, actually, politics really is just super pendulumy.

In reporting TO RAISE A BOY, I found a surprising (to me) number of efforts around the country - in different kinds of communities - to give boys a chance to connect w each other, talk about and challenge stereotypes of masculinity. Boys I met were so grateful for the space.
