How is the governor of Alabama going to explain giving a seat to Democrats when they could stay 7 *very* safe R seats when Democrats are doing (or trying to lol) 10-1 maps in Virginia? How do you possibly explain that to your voters? Why is it always team R asked to have restraint, btw? Democrats started this and have gerrymandering down to a science.

@draloneboy If every state did this, then it would be the end of the Electoral College and we'd be a Popular State Voting Country. Which is what they want because it's easier to cheat when you have the total as the target. This must get struck down else we will be in a Constitutional Crisis.

@ForecasterEnten @bdomenech I believe VoteHub is a nonpartisan poll tracking group, they had 217 R 201 D and 11 toss ups a few days ago. Republicans are going to move 2-4 more seats by redrawing them... So Democrats best chance to win the House again looks like 2042... If Vote Hub had those races correct.

The new CNN poll should serve as a big time reality check for Dems. Yes, Trump isn't liked on the economy... but neither are the Dems. Dems' lead on the generic House ballot isn't growing. With redistricting, the race for House control is well within the margin of error.

Data centers aren't uniquely energy-hungry. One aluminum smelter draws as much power as all of Nashville. Utilities used to build power plants to meet that demand but today, regulations & litigation make that almost impossible. We need more power plants, not fewer data centers.

Senator John Fetterman just confirmed what everyone suspected. Obama has been showing up on Capitol Hill WEEKLY issuing marching orders to Democrats in both chambers.
