I use a pen name because I stopped writing/reading for five years after my dad died. He was my biggest champion, and writing didn’t feel like it meant anything anymore if he wasn’t there to read it. He called me Kitty Carlisle growing up. Once I finally realized that I was dishonoring his memory by not doing the thing he always encouraged me to do, I decided that when I finished my book, I’d publish it under the nickname he gave me to let him know, wherever he is, that I listened. I did it. And I hope he’s proud.

A national SI reporter (known chiefs Homer) has the Chiefs going 12-5 and the Chargers going 8-9. How haven’t the Chargers upgraded anything? They upgraded the Oline and significantly upgraded at OC. Alt and Slater. Sure I’ll grant you Oweh, since Mesidor is a rookie but common @MattVerderame. The Chargers were top 5 in defense last season. Meanwhile, the Chiefs who were going to miss the playoffs even before the Mahomes injury, will be relying on rookies on defense. Couldn’t rush the passer. Mahomes coming off an injury, Kenneth Walker who is good, but can’t stay healthy being the #1 RB. Oh, and the same WR room that was objectively terrible last season.

@cvndvce Not really enough info to say. If it’s someone that I communicate with daily, it wouldn’t bother me. But I’m also a “right away text replier” and would also let that person know if I was gonna be out of reach for a bit.
