Fantastic news. Looks like the DOJ is finally getting detoxified and fumigated, although naturally I’d like to see a lot more departures and firings. Most government agencies need to be chopped back to 50% or even 25% of their former size.

As Trump turns the Justice Department into an instrument of political retribution, more than a quarter of its lawyers have been fired or quit. Some 3,402 lawyers out of a total of 12,955 left the department since the beginning of last year. @kayewiggins ft.com/content/a1316a…

🚨 JUST IN: Sec. Scott Bessent reveals Iran made a GRAVE MISTAKE, the Gulf countries they bombed are TURNING OVER all information to freeze Iranian assets Scott is an economic assassin! 🔥 “They really miscalculated when they started bombing their Gulf neighbors in a kinetic fashion, and in response, the Gulf neighbors—who I would describe as somewhat permissive in allowing Iranian IRGC money, Iranian regime money into their banking systems—have been very fulsome, and come forward, and given us the details, and allowed us to freeze those assets!” @RapidResponse47

Every single Marc Elias tweet is essentially, “Once again we have lost an important case and hurt Democrat Party prospects. But we’re not done. And you can help us keep losing.”

This week, the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act in a devastating 6-3 decision. If you're as furious as I am, I hope you will consider joining our team. We are hiring experienced attorneys to help our clients fight for voting rights and democracy. ats.rippling.com/elg-careers-at…

Shipley represented 91 different defendants and studied all of the evidence over a several year span while also attending hearings and writing fillings. How many defendants did you represent? How many filings dod you make? How many BOP visits and calls with your clients? How many plea agreemets and hearinga did you participate in?

Yes, Cato did suffer from CDS. Caesar was a great man. Cato was a moralistic, teetotal humbug.

It's was 168 vs 8,000 in the immediate area and an additional 80,000 approximately 1 mile away. The battle lasted for one hour, meaning the 80,000 additional soldiers could easily have joined the battle. Zero Spanish soldiers died, estimates for Inca deaths are up to 8,000. Atahualpa was not some innocent, he had just completed a civil war which had culminated in the recent slaughter of his brother's wives and children.

People seem to think that the white Spanish showed up and singlehandedly slaughtered the natives. Do you know how many Aztecs there were? Do you know how many Spanish there were? Do you think a thousand guys with single-shot black-powder rifles can take on 100,000 jaguar warriors with bows and spears? Your woke history class left some stuff out. When Hernan Cortes took Tenochtitlan, he was leading an army of fewer than 1500 Spaniards backed by between 100,000 and 200,000 native fighters who had allied with him because they all hated the Aztecs. The conquistadors destroyed the mesoamerican empires by organizing and uniting all the smaller tribes the empires had been oppressing. The arrival of the Spanish at the end of “Apocalypto” is God’s judgment being delivered upon the wicked. It takes some really twisted logic to try to argue that the people who built palaces out of human skulls were somehow the good guys in the conflict between the Spanish and the Aztecs or that their culture needed to be preserved.

i feel like nobody knows how to read this movie. the basic idea is we spend the whole movie getting madder and madder at the maya for what they did to this guy and his family. then suddenly at the end the spanish show up and we realize they're about to do the same exact shit on a much greater scale. it's an anti-colonialism movie from a very non-woke perspective, which people think is a contradiction for some reason

@tedcruz Yes, Senator. The first 23 Black members of Congress were all Republicans, elected during Reconstruction after the Civil War (20 in the House, 2 in the Senate). The first Black Democrat in Congress was elected in 1934.

"Banks don’t need warrants to become quite alarmed when they discover that they have created an account for the Center Investigative Agency and several other sole proprietorships for the same person… and those businesses don’t receive revenue, run payroll, buy office supplies on their debit card, or rent office space. No, the only thing they do is take large deposits then transfer out hundreds of thousands of dollars directly to, Great Scott, the worst people imaginable." bitsaboutmoney.com/archive/nonpro…

Nick Searcy, Actor/Director/Producer/Author
I spent 13 years, from 1986 to 1999, performing as an actor in the National Black Touring Circuit's production of I HAVE A DREAM, telling the story of Martin Luther King Jr. I played all the white characters, from Bull Connor to JFK, and was the only white member of the cast. It was a musical, multimedia show, with slides and screens. I even sang a solo song, portraying a white man who was killed while marching for civil rights for all. It wasn't a year long gig: we went out in January and February, usually, centered around MLK's birthday and black history month. When I first started doing it, it was my only paying gig, and I was so grateful for it. But even after my film career got going, I did it whenever I could, because I loved the people I worked with and I loved the message we spread. And the audiences loved the show. It brought the right mix of emotion and message, and honored Dr. King's work. We even performed at the MLK center in Atlanta, for Coretta King herself. I will never forget meeting her. It remains my longest and best theatrical experience. I still have a good friend from that production. Woodie King Jr. was the producer, a legendary giant of New York theatre, who passed away within the last year. The demand for the show dried up. Why? Because the Democrat party no longer supports Dr. King's vision for this country as a color blind society. Without racism as an issue, the Democrat party has nothing. So Dr. King, for them, fell out of fashion. MLK's dream is not just useless to them. It is the exact opposite of what they want, which is to divide us by race and pit us against one another to increase their power through grievance, hate, and division. The modern Democrat party no longer reveres Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He wasn't racist enough for them. Dr. King had a dream, but that dream no longer suits the Democrat party. And in fact, if you look back through the history of the party -- perhaps it never did.
Rev. Damien Thaddeus Jones@NobleNegroe

This latest Supreme Court ruling reflects EXACTLY what Dr. King fought and died for. King didn’t want us racially segregated by Congressional district. He wanted us to vote based on character, record, and merit - not by race. Dr. King would be proud this Supreme Court has diversified our districts to reflect America. #MLK #SCOTUS #UNITY

Trump's GOP is holding on to the generational gains they made with Black voters in the 2024 election. The GOP has gained 12 pts on the Dems on party id with African Americans vs. Trump term 1 at this point. Trump's approval with Black voters is higher than it was in term 1.
