Two adult males are in critical condition following an early morning shooting in Surrey’s Newton area. Surrey Police are on scene, with shell casings seen scattered across the middle of the intersection. SPS says the shooting happened around 3:49 a.m., when officers received initial reports that two men had been shot outside the Chevron gas station at the intersection of 152 St & 72 Ave. The two men were transported to hospital, where they remain in reportedly critical condition. At this point, SPS say the motive remains unknown, but investigators do not believe the shooting was random or related to extortion.
