Liverpool tried to sign Zubimendi in the summer of 2024. It dragged on, the briefings ramped up, and in the end he simply rejected us. A year later, in the summer of 2025, it was Marc Guehi. Weeks of noise again, until Palace pulled the plug and the deal collapsed. Now it’s 2026, and no alternative has been signed for either target. No replacement, no contingency, nothing. Liverpool look fragile at the back, lack control, and fall apart far too easily when put under pressure. Who would’ve guessed that repeatedly failing to land key targets and then refusing to act afterwards might eventually catch up with us?
