Are you unfamiliar with the concept of martyrdom in Islam?

@shipwreckedcrew The assertion that Iran will commit a suicidal, historically villainous attack once it gets its hands on a nuke is not just unsupported but seems to misjudge basics aspects of humanity. Assuming enemies are this irrational is no basis for analysis.

It's worse than that. They're glad he was murdered. Why? Because they are utterly detached from reality. These are people who have not suffered any real loss in their empty lives. Depravity.

“I’m saying fuck Brian Thompson. I don’t give a flying fuck he died,” says Ashley Rojas, wearing her press badge provided by @NYCMayorsOffice. Lena Weissbrot adds that Thompson’s teenage sons “are better off without him” and should “enjoy the blood money.”

Meridian Hill Park before vs. after. For years, homeless camps and drug addicts took over the park. Now it's cleaned up and full of families again, thanks to @POTUS's executive order to make the capital safe and beautiful again. 🇺🇸

Water is flowing again at Washington, D.C.’s historic fountains, bringing these public spaces back to life ahead of America’s 250th.   This work supports @POTUS’s efforts to keep the Nation’s Capital safe, beautiful and ready to welcome millions during the historic celebration.

James Madison described the powers of the federal government as “few and defined” and those reserved to the states as “numerous and indefinite.” We’ve been dangerously drifting from that understanding since the 1930s. The drift has been most evident in areas now most fraught with waste, fraud, and abuse. If we honored the Constitution’s limits on federal power, there’d be very little waste, fraud, and abuse in our national government. Share if you’d like to see a “constitutional reset,” in which any government function that’s not obviously and necessarily federal under the Constitution would be returned “to the states respectively, or to the people,” as the Tenth Amendment specifies.

A large portion of "immigrant success" in the USA is actually just fraud. By hiding behind accusations of racism, and living in socially isolated communities, they can pull in hundreds of thousands of dollars each every year. This needs to stop.

Here’s your daily reminder that your tax dollars are going to men like this to run “daycares” who can’t even answer a basic question about the $2,250,000 they receive from our tax dollars “F*cking million dollars, don’t worry about it!” ARREST ALL THE FRAUDSTERS

Just got back from Tokyo. To NYC. It's hard to avoid the blindingly obvious truth--NY tax dollars are disgustingly wasted. It's shocking, the state of the City considering it's budget. You could "tax the rich" into bankruptcy and it wouldn't fix the MTA, which carries approximately the same ridership as the Tokyo Metro but has a budget 5.5x larger than Tokyo's. I mean the answer isn't dollars, it's actually just a question of efficiency. And NYC's government is corrupt, bloated, and the poster child of inefficiency.

You know, I really tried my best to unemotionally lay out a case against Massie. I thought his supporters might have an open mind. However, being called a pedophile-enabling paid shill for Israel repetitively because I wrote this makes me wonder if there even is such a thing as a rational Massie supporter.

OTD in 1896, the Supreme Court in Plessy v. Ferguson upheld a Louisiana law requiring blacks and whites to sit in separate railway cars. Justice John Marshall Harlan's lone dissent: "Our Constitution is color-blind, and neither knows nor tolerates classes among citizens." #SCOTUS

The court however also facially upheld the state's ban on carry in public parks. Judge Menashi dissented in part, saying the court should have struck down the public park carry ban too:

Let’s get it clear once and for all. It’s not about race, folks. That’s a Democrat trick. It’s about CULTURE. Am I a racist? Absolutely not. Am I a culturalist? Unequivocally, yes. If you can’t assimilate to this culture, our values, our laws, and our traditions, get out.
