@NudgeTM Consider this too: is it feasible for the UK to recruit staff from the UK and bring them to Nigeria to work while outsourcing staff in Nigeria at a lower labour rate to cut cost. Isn’t this also an aid to Nigerians?

Nah, this isn’t aid to Africa at all. The UK is backing a loan to Nigeria on the condition that the contracts go to British companies. That means the money goes to UK contractors, who would likely use British staff and services. Those companies (and their employees) pay taxes in the UK. Nigeria then repays the loan with interest at commercial rates, likely funded by Nigerian taxpayers. So this is really about supporting UK businesses, not giving aid. If anyone is going to insist that this is aid giving, then it is Nigeria giving aids to the UK.
BASEDANDBOUGIE@basedandbougie

🚨BREAKING! The 🇬🇧UK plans to lend £746 Million to 🇳🇬Nigeria to help them refurbish their Ports. The consistent aid given to African is getting out of hand! Africa has received more “aid” in the last century than Britain did after the Blitz. The UK received $3.7billion in aid from the US and this was after a BRUTAL WORLD WAR and they used that money wisely to rebuild the UK into the state we see today. Not only that, most of the African politicians are living better than European politicians in 20 bedroom mansions whilst the general Africa public live in poverty …. Where is this aid going ???

Dangote refinery has increased petrol price twice now, in no short time. But Nigeria has a working refinery, and also has crude oil abundantly.

@DebolaOG_XLEAM @Samkel_Bani @DanielRegha No, why don’t America subsidise for her citizens too. Every Country of the world is facing the consequences. All what we need is prayer for the war in Middle East to end soon and everything comes back to Normal.

@Samkel_Bani @DanielRegha But why does it seem to be affecting us more? We have the resources, our government could subsidize a crude sale for dangote to ease the pain, i mean we own the crude. We are the 2nd country in the world that has had over 45% fuel price increase since this war.

@Okamzy_ @soyigamedia @Morris_Monye You still have the confidence to defend your stupidity🙄 Does Nigeria sell crude oil to Dangote in naira? Nigeria only supplies Dangote with 40% while he receives 60% from US. Did he buy it in naira in America? AI could save you from this cheap mess.

@Okamzy_ @soyigamedia @Morris_Monye Yes! Crude oil is an international commodity, he purchases it in dollars and the product cost. Since the Middle East conflict has driven up prices, this will impact every country including the USA.

@Morris_Monye Aliko Dangote should be standing with the masses at this very tough time in Nigeria. Increasing fuel price from ₦1,175 to ₦1,245 per litre is not just a business decision, it’s one that will directly bite millions of Nigerians who are already struggling to survive daily

What if I told you that the state visit of president Tinubu to the UK wasn't originally the idea of the British royal family? It was as a result of tremendous pressure from the Nigerian government, through the propaganda department of this administration in a bid to secure a second term. The reason is because of the issue of Genocide and Christian Persecution that have gained the attention of the world. They keep spending millions of dollars to prove that there's no genocide. So, they needed some form of credibility presentation from a top personality in the world to align with them and make them look credible. They told the British royal family that with the way Nigeria is going, it could break up. The British didn't want that. So, inviting President Tinubu to the UK for state visit despite that hundreds that are being killed daily was a way to present him to the world as credible and gain world attraction. For APC, it was a re-election ass licking adventure For the Brits, it was to ensure Nigeria remains one and wipe off the narrative of Christian genocide. It's a 1-1 win for them. The losers.... Nigerians!!!

Don’t listen to this. The agreement is not about returning Nigerians to Nigeria. Seeking asylum in the UK from Nigeria means there’s something you are running away from in Nigeria. Nigeria and the UK do not have the right to decide on behalf of asylum seekers from Nigeria to be returned to the same country they are running away from. That’s a violation of international law. The agreement is about deportation of asylum seekers, irrespective of where they are from, to ease the UK the burden of hotel accommodation costs. Nigeria has agreed to host asylum seekers on behalf of the UK. These deportees will still be under asylum status in Nigeria. So how are they Nigerians?
Ministry of Interior@MinOfInteriorNG

The agreement signed by the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo on behalf of the government of Nigeria and Home Secretary, Rt Hon Shabana Mahmood on behalf of the UK government, guarantees that returnees will be treated with dignity, rights retention under domestic law, and may re-enter in the future if they meet the applicable immigration requirements. It also provides detailed arrangements for the dignified return and reintegration of NIGERIANS who do not have the legal right to remain in the UK. This arrangement includes: the use of secured travel documentation, case-by-case identity verification, and safeguards for vulnerable individuals and potential victims of trafficking. This framework also sets out clear definitions, scope, and areas of cooperation, including; information sharing, capacity building, training, and joint research on migration management and border security.

You are very F00lish. Ask yourself why an agreement is required to return ‘Nigerians’ to Nigeria. Ask yourself why other countries have rejected this deal. Are you saying the other countries rejected the return of their own citizens, or your own case (as always) as Nigeria is different? Why would you trust a statement from a Nigerian government ministry? Once again, you are very F00lish.

For those peddling fake news that Nigeria government signed an MoU with UK on deportation of illegal immigrants from any country, this is for you. Read paragraph 2. In case you are also lazy to read it, let me help you out. The deportation of Nigerians only who are illegal immigrants. Good morning.

@Big_Mck I think you’re unaware. Let me enlighten you. The Nigerian government might refuse to take them back if they lack identification and many asylum seekers have discarded theirs. This has happened before with the UK and Pakistan, who then returned to the UK.

@Edenlife9 @Hawau_aa You are Wrong. The Hadith discusses who followed them into battle and renounced their faith there. In today’s terms, this would be considered “treason”. For a clearer understanding, you can read the verse preceding it.
