
A prize-winning lamb auctioned in memory of Cumbrian teenager William Pedley has raised more than £8,000 for charity after it was sold at Hawes Auction Mart this week. The gimmer lamb was initially bought for £600 with the auctioneers matching the funding. However, it was then immediately relisted by its new owner. It was then sold for £4,200 before that buyer then offered the animal back to the saleroom. In total. ‘Will's lamb' fetched a total of £8,400.
