Bitcoin is ultimately an IQ test and this "Professor" has failed.
1) It doesn't matter who created it. It is decentralised and controlled by no single entity. That's kind of the whole point.
2) As for "where are the blockchain servers?" They're everywhere. Tens of thousands of nodes running across the globe. No single point of failure. No off switch.
It's been 17 years and they still fail to understand the basics.
It's okay to say "I don't know" sometimes, you know.

basically: anthropic sneakily turned down how hard claude thinks before editing code, changed the default from "high" to "medium" effort, and hid the reasoning from session logs. all without telling users.
an amd director had 7k sessions of telemetry to prove the degradation was real and measurable (not just vibes). anthropic admitted to the changes. there's a workaround (use "/effort max"). the uncomfortable part is most users had no data to notice it happened at all.

She analyzed Claude's session logs from Janurary to March: > median thinking dropped from ~2,200 to ~600 chars > API requests went up 80x from Feb to Mar. less thinking and failed attempts meaning more retries, burning more tokens, and spending more on tokens > reads-per-edit dropped from 6.6x → 2.0x. model stops researching code before touching it. > model tried to bail out or ask "should i continue" 173 times in 17 days (0 times before March 8). > self-contradiction in reasoning ("oh wait, actually...") tripled. > conventions like CLAUDE.md get ignored because there's less thinking budget to cross-check edits > 5pm and 7pm PST are the worst hours, late night is significantly better. this means the thinking allocation is most likely GPU-load-sensitive.

OpenAI told investors its compute lead over Anthropic is widening, saying it had 1.9 GW of capacity in 2025 vs. an estimated 1.4 GW for Anthropic.
OpenAI expects to reach low-double-digit GW next year, ahead of Anthropic’s projected 7 to 8 GW.

A viral tweet claimed that Meta is now responsible for nearly a third of Anthropic's $30B ARR, based on reporting that Meta used 60.2T tokens over 30 days.
This doesn't actually pencil out. It assumes all of Meta's spend is on output tokens, which are much more expensive than input tokens, and which would be extremely unusual — according to OpenRouter data, about 98.9% of all Opus 4.6 tokens are input.
The actual number is *maybe* closer to $136M a month, or $1.6B a year.
