@EriqFelix Here is a snapshot of a table that summarizes the presence of these tenets at California Community Colleges (CCCs) and City University of New York CCs (CUNY).

In addition to operationalizing our six tenets, we bring them to life by contextualizing them through Implementation Stories that draw on our #comm_college research in California and New York.

Coming up with the six tenets was my favorite part, being able to connect what we know from decades of research, building on ideas I had in grad school, applying what I've learned in my work, and sustained conversations w @kennynien about all of it. #HigherEd

So we tinkered and experimented with different ways to do this. And if y'all know me and my writing... I love alliteration and all things in three. So we came up with an Equity-Centered Policy Implementation Framework that spotlighted people, place, and policy possibility.

lowkey was tired of the "missing link" troupe and the continued discourse by white scholars around implementation studies focused on documenting failure, discouragement, and dashed hopes. Instead, we wanted to prompt scholars to explore implementation as opportunity & empowerment

@EriqFelix Preparing this piece got me interested in once again teaching the law course in the @UConnHESA program and being even more deliberate in incorporating implementation into course.

In a brief 70-page love letter, we take up how policy scholars have studied implementation broadly and within #highered specifically. This is a pre-print version with a final manuscript headed to press in the Handbook. We wanted to share as folks prep policy courses for the fall.
