This week marks my final week as AD of MHS. I’m saddened to leave, but excited to begin a new chapter as Supervisor of a Athletics for DCPS. I’ll always be beyond grateful for the incredible memories, relationships, and experiences that made the past 12 years so special.

I’m hearing very serious allegations related to UF board chair Mori Hosseini. It’s time for the BOG to halt the presidential search and launch a full investigation into Hosseini’s financial disclosures and potential conflicts of interest related to his real estate holdings.

@GatorRyan I’m not defending ND, but I don’t think I have a problem with them getting in if they are ranked in the top 12. I realize there other teams that will get in who are outside of the top 12 and maybe another top 12 gets bumped. But not sure if that’s ND’s fault.

UConn AD David Benedict tells ESPN that he’s imploring the NCAA and president Charlie Baker to take a stand in eligibility cases where there’s NCAA rules being circumvented by a judge’s ruling.
“If legally we can’t control or impose NCAA rules in terms of who can play and who can’t, based on a legal decision, the NCAA still has the right to determine what games count toward the NCAA tournament. And what games don’t count.
“The NCAA has deemed (Charles Bediako) ineligible. Fine, he can play (on a judge’s ruling). It doesn’t mean the games need to count toward the NCAA tournament. Otherwise, throw away the rule book and set it on fire. There are no rules.”

NCAA statement on Charles Bediako: "These attempts to sidestep NCAA rules and recruit individuals who have finished their time in college or signed NBA contracts are taking away opportunities from high school students. A judge ordering the NCAA let a former NBA player take the court Saturday against actual college student-athletes is exactly why Congress must step in and empower college sports to enforce our eligibility rules."

We're updating our story on Duke QB Darian Mensah entering the portal after a N.C. judge released an order today. Basically, Mensah can enter the portal but can't enroll elsewhere, license his NIL elsewhere or play football elsewhere for the time being.

- - Next year start playing games on Saturday, 8/29/26
- Start playoffs Saturday, 12/05/26
- National Championship on January 1, 2027
- Coaches can be hired Jan 2
- Signing date Feb 3 2027
- Portal entrance May 1 - 30 2027
