BREAKING: The project connect team is planning a $32 million office lease in one of the most luxury waterfront towers in downtown Austin plus an extra $15 million to build out and furnish the space Totally ridiculous. They could run this out of the existing capmetro office

NEWS: Waymo and Waze have announced a partnership to help cities detect and repair potholes faster by providing data from their autonomous fleet. The pilot will launch in these cities first: • San Francisco Bay Area • Los Angeles • Phoenix • Austin • Atlanta "The pilot program uses Waymo’s perception and physical feedback systems to detect and provide up-to-date information on potholes where Waymo operates. The data will be available to cities and state Departments of Transportation through the free-to-use Waze for Cities platform alongside user-reported pothole information, giving officials an additional view of surface street and highway conditions that enables them to more efficiently and effectively fill potholes. The data will also be visible to Waze users in the cities where Waymo operates, keeping road users safe by alerting them as they approach a pothole. Like other on-road features reportable in the Waze app, users will be able to verify the Waymo-identified potholes, increasing the data’s accuracy. Waymo has already identified approximately 500 potholes. Over time, we’ll expand this partnership to more cities we serve, including those with winter weather and harsh freeze-thaw cycles that exacerbate the pothole problem."

LTISD’s Bond Money Scandal Just Got More Absurd @lifelife89 and I filed formal grievances exposing the illegal use of 2018 Bond money (the 668 Fund). We have receipts proving @ltisdschools used voter-approved capital funds to: 1- Pay full-time salaries for admin. like Brad Goerke and Robert Winnovitch 2- Hire the Mayes PR firm to “promote” a future tax increase / new bond 3-Treat themselves to meals including @ChickfilA We first sent emails and asked questions, we were ignored or gaslit. We submitted Open Records receipts and filed formal complaints. Trustees including incumbents up for re-eletcion, Rob Aird and Keely Cano refused an independent audit and denied all remedy. Trustee Phillip Davis even went as far as to say, we "are targeting employees". LETS BE CLEAR, we are targeting nobody but what we are doing is naming names. We named the people illegally using our money, but some still remain employed on our dime. Trustee (President at the time) Erin Archer even called our claims “baseless”, a bold-faced lie meant to defame us. We escalated our complaint to the Texas State Auditor who then referred it to the TEA in September of 2024. Today, the @teainfo is "still investigating” per Lance Urban of the TEA, Special Investigations. We have supplied @mikemorath and @GovAbbottPress with hundreds of documents proving our allegations but its been over a year and still no accountability. Realizing that our in house counsel is using our resources to avoid transparency at all costs we filed another open records request in December 2025. We wanted to know just exactly how much @ltisdschools was wasting to battle two moms from exposing the truth. LTISD spent months and our money trying to withhold that information but fortunately after waiting for public information the OIG got it right and Custodian of Records Curtis Null was forced to release the public information. This is where it gets wild...we have spent years trying to see some accountablility for the illegal use of 2018 bond money, and the district has spent tens of thousands trying to fight us, and now they are using 2023 Bond Money to do it. You just can't make it up! Look at one of the actual payment approval forms that was just released. It was charged to Fund Code 663 (the official 2023 Capital Projects / Bond Fund for the $143 million voter-approved bond). They even changed the amount from $8,061.25 down to $1,068.75 (interesting) but still paid straight out of the bond fund. 5 months later the OIG ruled in our favor: you cannot hide how much taxpayer dollars you’re burning on frivolous legal fees to suppress the truth. This is straight-up illegal. Texas Education Code § 45.1105 strictly limits bond proceeds to the specific capital purposes voters approved; not salaries, not PR firms, not meals, or recently discovered outside lawyers fighting transparency. Texas Government Code § 552.022(a)(16) makes attorney fee bills public information that cannot be withheld, but Superintendent Null spent 5 months trying. Defending against parental grievances about operating-budget decisions with bond money is not allowed, it violates Texas law. We have reached out to LTISD to verify the signature of the person authorizing what appears to be bond money being illegally used and will update if they respond. @SarahisCensored can you help expose the corruption involving our property tax/bond money? @FamilyProjectTX @Collier4Texas @MC4Texas @drbone4tx @MaryDunlaphome @lynnsdavenport @Bentley4Texas @MaryBowdenMD @POTUS @GovRonDeSantis @tasb_news @tasanet

Big Bend National Park is one of the least visited national parks in the lower 48. Which means most Americans are missing out some of the best land in the country. It's 801,000 acres of Chihuahuan Desert along the Rio Grande in West Texas. That’s bigger than Rhode Island. The nearest major city is over 250 miles away. The Spanish called the region "El Despoblado." The uninhabited land. It has the darkest measured skies of any national park in the lower 48, and is part of the largest dark sky reserve on Earth, stretching over 9 million acres across Texas and Mexico. On most clear nights, you can see the Milky Way. Over 450 bird species have been recorded there. More than any other national park in America.  The park hosts more species of bats, scorpions, butterflies, ants, and cacti than any other place in the National Park System. The Rio Grande runs through it for 118 miles. You can paddle through Santa Elena Canyon, 1,500-foot limestone walls on both sides. You can hike to hot springs along the river. The park also preserves 130 million years of geologic history. It's the only national park where you can see the rock layer from the asteroid impact that killed the dinosaurs. The largest flying creature ever discovered, Quetzalcoatlus, was found here. 33-foot wingspan and stood as tall as a giraffe. This year, a proposed border wall through the park drew opposition from both parties, local ranchers, conservation groups, outfitters, and the communities that depend on Big Bend for their livelihoods. Over 100,000 people signed a petition. Nearly 130 Texas organizations sent a letter to Congress. Alpine, the nearest city, unanimously passed a resolution against it. Federal maps now indicate detection technology rather than a physical wall through the national park. But plans remain in flux. Big Bend is remote, rugged, and irreplaceable. The people who know it best, across party lines, made that clear.
