This is a throw on the run for Chapman and I would have had this as a single and an error as this to me is above ordinary effort. The issue is the scorer might think CHAPMAN can make that play, but it’s ordinary effort for the average fielder at that position.

Friday night scores and reactions: USC 3 Oregon 4, the Ducks needed this to keep their hosting hopes alive. Personally, I think both are worthy but most likely only one will host. Gotta love the southeastern bias in the committee. UCLA 6 Washington 5, down to its last strike, the Bruins get helped by a Husky error and then a 2 out 2 strike base hit to score two and come back again for a win. Series is tied now and the Bruins continue to win games they probably shouldn’t. Arizona St 3 Houston 5, not only did ASU lose the game they lost starting pitcher, Cole Carlon. ASU doesn’t have the best RPI and if they lose the series tomorrow to Houston, they’d be nervous come selection Monday. Air Force 9 Oregon St 6, the Falcons score the upset in Corvallis. The Falcons haven’t played well on the road this year but get their best win of the season tonight. I’d say this loss knocks Oregon St out of the top 8 discussion. Stanford 3 Cal 4, the Bears got one in the 7th and 8th to take the game and even up the series. Both teams will be tough outs in the ACC tournament next week. CS Fullerton 9 UC San Diego 10, Fullerton had their chances but UCSD walks them off in 10 innings. Fullerton will back into the conference tournament as the 5 seed due to Irvine losing. CS Bakersfield 4 UC Irvine 0, UCI needed to get a sweep at home to have a shot at the last spot in the tourney they’re hosting but couldn’t get it done tonight and they’re officially done. UCI had the bases loaded in the 9th. Cal Baptist 9 UC Davis 8, CBU gets the sweep and will be hot going into the WAC tournament. Davis needed one win this week to end the year at 500 but couldn’t get it. They’ll finish 26-28. UC Riverside 5 UC Santa Barbara 15, the Gauchos bats made up for the quiet effort last night and they’re officially Big West regular season crown will come down to the final day as both UCSB and Cal Poly got wins today. Long Beach St 2 Cal Poly 6, SLO keeps pace with UCSB and sets up a huge day of baseball tomorrow. Seattle 1 Gonzaga 5, the Zags are rolling and maybe can get an atlarge if they don’t win the WCC tournament. Pepperdine 2 Santa Clara 9, the Broncos continue to just win the last 3 weeks and still have a chance to finish 6th and make the WCC tournament. San Diego St 1 UNLV 3, a completely different game compared to yesterday. UNLV gets a nice win vs the conference champs. Baylor 10 Utah 3, a bunch of teams jumbled together in the middle of the Big12, tomorrow will determine seeding. Kansas 7 BYU 6 the Cougars will look to avoid the sweep tomorrow and end the regular season at 500. Arizona 1 Oklahoma St 14, the Next Oscars are eliminated from the Big12 tournament chase now and tomorrow will be their final game of the year. Grand Canyon 12 Nevada 7, GCU has had a tough year but they’re still playing hard and getting some nice wins down the stretch. Fresno St 8 San Jose St 9, SJSU gets a series win and can go for the sweep tomorrow. San Francisco 10 St. Marys 3, the Dons knock out 17 hits and are battling to get that 3 seed in the WCC. Tomorrows games will be huge in the WCC Pacific 2 Portland 3, the Pilots tied it up in the bottom of the 9th and won it in 12. Pilots part of the group trying to get that last spot in the WCC tournament. LMU 3 San Diego 7, these two teams are in the midst of their worst years in recent history. USD can at least get a season ending sweep tomorrow. Tarleton 15 Sacramento St 4, Tarleton clinched the WAC regular season title and will get the 1 seed. Will be a battle with CBU next week. Abilene Christian 4 Utah Tech 7, the Trailblazers move past ACU in the standings and setting themselves up for next week. UT Arlington 9 Utah Valley 10, UVU can get a sweep to end their year tomorrow. They’re only 4-13 in conference so a great way to end their season.

This is absolutely outrageous! Shane Smith hit Suarez in a 10-0 game on June 23 First pitch to Geno here up and in, and then two pitches later hits him on the hand. That was intentional. Nobody will EVER convince me otherwise
