Spoke with Australia’s FM @SenatorWong. We discussed at length developments in the war in Iran and Lebanon. I emphasized the massive scale of missile, rocket, and drone attacks against Israel from Lebanon. Israel is acting to defend its communities and citizens. I described the reality of life these days in our northern communities, to which residents returned after over a year in which they didn't live in their homes. Most international media outlets are currently portraying the situation on only one side of the border. Unfortunately, the Lebanese government is not taking practical steps against Hezbollah, neither to stop the attacks on Israeli civilians, nor in other contexts. I welcomed the arrival of Australia’s new ambassador to Israel, Neil Hawkins, and expressed my gratitude for the swift acceptance of the credentials of our ambassador in Canberra, @Hillel_Newman.

BREAKING: In a bizarre press conference Trump claims Iran is going to make a deal because they got him a nice present. "They're gonna make a deal. They did something yesterday that was amazing. A 17 year old boy was tortured in prison by Israel for 6 months without ever being charged. “Walid’s autopsy indicates that Israeli prison guards systematically starved and abused him for months until he finally collapsed, struck his head, and died” Like many prisoners, he also had signs of dysentery, scabies, and other diseases that contributed to his death. Israel has held his body for a year and has not given his family an explanation for why. But it’s obviously because Israel doesn’t want even more evidence of its widespread torture of children to be seen. The judge wrote his decision on this last year, but it was barred from publication until now after petitions from Haaretz.
